Did reality just slap me in the face through the grace of our Lord?

I was over in General Theology, in the thread, "As a Protestant, am I damned to hell?," and there's an argument over Protestants using the Catholic NT canon. I said, "Read the book, 'Lost Scriptures: The Books That Did Not Make It Into The New Testament," and I said I could give thanks to the Catholic Church... I then began to think about, as I often do, how much I dislike the division within the Protestant camp. We're so divided, in every which way; so many denominations, different beliefs, fighting and arguing. And then a verse spoke to me loud and clear. Clearer than any verse has spoken to me a long time. It was as Jesus himself was screaming this verse in my face, but in a loving manner to open my eyes: And if a house is divided against itself, it cannot stand (Mark 3:25).

Loud. And. Clear.

Your onto something. The Holy Spirit wants you to have the fullness of truth and full Eucharistic communion with Jesus in the Church He established. Keep studying and praying. :amen:

There must be a very good reason why the Lord had that verse strike you so strongly. The fact that you are over here telling us about it is most likely God's will. If you want to know what I think, I would say that the Lord wants you to seek unity. Catholicism has always sought the reunification of all churches, after all the schisms, which are not pleasing to God. One Faith, One Lord, One Baptism.

We're still here ...

We've been here for a very long time ....

You are welcome to join us and help in your own small way to fulfil the scripture's beautiful vision ... And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

The RCC has the same problems. But they do have the advantage of the infallible teachings to refer to.
