I have adopted a new line: “teach as you learn” which really goes against what I have stood for for the past 20 years where I build on the foundation of not teaching what I have not mastered. I understand you have more authority if you specialize in application of what you have learned and teach from strength but doing home schooling with Hannah has shown Hayley and I that we have to support her in subjects we have no clue about and we are forced to learn on the move.

So it is no different here with Hebrew teaching as we learn weird as it may be and out the box it is worth it if others can follow our learning process.

I am trying to prove a point here with the Hebrew Challenge?
I think my goal is to show a way forward for those who just cannot take the time to go back to language school to learn but need a different method to grasp a new language as a new immigrant.

I would appreciate any feedback on our website and challenges

You are from England? I detected an English accent. I watched the Post Office one and found it very interesting to witness that exchange. I think it is a great idea to see everyday actual events instead of contrived ones like you might find on learning programs such as Rosetta Stone.

I don't know about the show, but it sounds like a great concept.
When I get time I'll look at the other videos.

Good job! Thanks for sharing here Kenny, and welcome!

My wife and daughter are Jewish and the reason for joining this forum is to share a common interest in Israel and Hebrew. The Hebrew Challenge is designed for all people groups and because I got quite a few emails from Messianic's, Christians Jews and secular not excluding feedback from Israeli Arabs in North Israel enjoying watching our Behind the Scenes videos I wanted to get the word out of some forums. thanks for the positive feedback thus far and I hope you will share the Hebrew Challenge with others!

Kenny, your family's videos are lovely and fun, as well as informative. I am sure others will enjoy them as much as I have. :)

Oh WOW - Please relax I am new here and it is my fault for not reading things through about the icons. I want to share the Hebrew Challenge with interested parties and I respect Messianic, Religious Jews and secular. I am not religious but have to say I love the Sabbath meal on a Friday night. I do drive on Shabbat (sorry but not through a religious community) to walk with my family in the countryside and rest from my work. I am not offended by being asked questions and the good news is I am still not offended. I have started to join lots of forums to share our work at wwwDOThebrew-lessonsDOTcom and if you see me on other sites I welcome any hello's.

Thanks you for the reassurance! Driving on shabbat is not an issue for you, but as yousay, best not to do it in a religoius area.
Glad to hear you enjoy shabbat meals, do you do them in your home, or go out to friends?
