I'm eating better and going for walks.

:p
I had an aunt that liked to walk. She refused to use the remote control and use to walk back and forth to the TV to change the channels. She said that was all the exercise she got.

I don't think I can change the channel on our T.V. without the remote, their's no button on it to change (DVR)

Are you saying that you do not have the circulatory, pulmonary, nervous, reproductive, immunological systems of an animal? Please provide some examples of how ours differ from other animals.

We wear clothes. That is the effect of God's breath.

Well, yes, of course. The definition of animal is as follows:

noun 1. any member of the kingdom Animalia, comprising multicellular organisms that have a well-defined shape and usually limited growth, can move voluntarily, actively acquire food and digest it internally, and have sensory and nervous systems that allow them to respond rapidly to stimuli

So, let's break this down. If you disagree that we are animals, you must disagree with one of the specifics of that definition.

Do you disagree that we are of the kingdom Animalia? That's simple taxonomy.

Do you disagree that we are multicellular organisms?

Do you disagree that we have a well-defined shape?

Do you disagree that we usually have limited growth?

Do you disagree that we can move voluntarily?

Do you disagree that we actively acquire food?

Do you disagree that we internally digest our food?

Do you disagree that we have sensory systems?

Do you disagree that we have nervous systems?

Do you disagree that those systems allow us to respond rapidly to stimuli?

If you say we are not animals, you must disagree with one of those things. So which one is it? Tell us, and defend your position.

We have at least one more: we wear clothes. Animals don't.

Read the passage. It doesn't say he is testing us to show we die like animals but to show that we are animals.

Testing in the bible usually refer to subjecting people to trials to refine and purify them. In the context the trials are probably being subject to death and decay, but the purpose it to teach us the truth about our nature, that we are in ourselves just animals.

Again he isn't say we are like an animals because we die etc., he says we are animals.

You mean some less literal translations try to avoid the meaning of the text?

Doesn't 'For' usually give us reasons for something? THe writer is show us the reason he said we are beasts.

No, God is testing them that they may see that they themselves are but beasts.

Certainly the writer is telling us to fear God, and show us we are in ourselves animals, animals in whose hearts God has written eternity. We have this longing written in our hearts and are lost without God.

You can easily see this unfortunate understanding all the way from then to now. Just in this forum, there are more people who think humans are animals. What Solomon said is very true. People just keep thinking they are animals. That is why we have a world like what we have now.

Saw a caddisfly larvae on TV tonight.

I have no patience to read it on the Wikipedia (still not interested in biology ). Why do you use this example to argue my definition of human? I don't think it will fit.

We think we're animals because we are. The world is as it is because of religion.

Actually this was when remotes first came out and not everyone had one. There were only three stations back then. ABC, NBC & CBS.

We have at least one more: we wear clothes. Animals don't.

Using such a line of reasoning I could claim that no species is an animal.

Birds have feathers. Animals don't. Therefore, birds are not animals.

Mammals have fur. Animals don't. Therefore, mammals are not animals.

I could keep going if you like.

Well, too be fair, birds and mammals aren't species designations.

But, every species has something unique; that's pretty much what makes a species a species. So creature X is the only creature that has/does thing Y, so it's not an animal. A weak argument, since it applies to all animals.

But no mind, the idea that only humans wear clothes is debunked by the hermit crab, as mentioned earlier.

No. Your argument does not logically stand to oppose my definition. You do not (or pretend not to) understand.

Your examples only illustrated the part (organ) of animal body. Our clothes are extra thing we put on our body. Animals DON'T do that.

We wear clothes.

Not always (I'm not wearing any right now; am I still human?), and we're not the only ones. Unless you use a very human-centric definition of clothes.
