Update on what's going on with wildfire: Barr Trail and Cave of the Winds has reopened. All of Teller County has been taken off pre-evacuation. Here's a bit on the weather info for today: Winds could get erratic and gusty on the burn scar due to nearby thunderstorms. However, these thunderstorms might actually produce some measurable rainfall. Hopefully, not too much on the burn scar, though (flash flooding concerns). It's never easy around here...gotta take the good with the bad.

Link to this morning's press conference that I missed:

DA Pledges To Prosecute Burglaries Committed During Waldo Canyon Fire

says in the link: The fire remains at 55 percent containment and 17,827 acres Monday morning. The cost of fighting the fire to date is $11.1 million.

I was excited to read the containment was up to 55%!

It's hard to contain those fires because of the spot fires. Hopefully, the containment will rise 45% in a few days! :D

Turns out my Dad is not going to Colorado, but to VA where there is another large fire.

Is he a fire fighter?

Wow, the last thing you all need is another problem. I hope things go well with the weather. Still the containment seems to be better. I'll continue to pray.
