Just to keep you guys updated. Delays in getting permits/visa on the organizing end of the program I'm in have forced me to move my flight a week later (Incurring fees over $1,000 between penalties and the price difference in the flights). The other option I was given was to keep my travel plans, enter Turkey on a tourist visa, leave the country once the research visa is approved, find a Turkish embassy/consulate (outside Turkey obviously since you don't need an embassy inside your own country), pray they process my visa the same day and then re-enter Turkey. That option would probably lead me to have a hysterical panic attack in a foreign country.

Please continue praying because if the permit/visa isn't issued in time I may just lose my mind.

I'd like to know which one of you has the direct line to God? Within the last 10 minutes I got an email saying everything has been approved and processed and I can go to the consulate to get the visa (By wednesday I hope). Whoever you are please keep praying for me.
