it gets even crazier. benny hinn was raised in israel/palestine & his dad is greek & mom palestinian christian.

There's a lot of dirt on that dude. He never allows severely injured or sick people on the stage for "healings." You can read online tons of accounts of people who traveled thousands of miles to see this "wonder-worker" only to have his agents turn them away in favor of the lightweight stuff.
He is accused of tremendous money-grubbing corruption (big shocker) and affairs with other evangelist ladies.
He's a piece of work for sure.
We should start a TBN carnival of weirdos thread. We could vote: who's your favorite character?
Is it
Paul Crouch....the slick operator with a cool throwback mustache with just a hint of a Doc Holiday old west look?
Is it his pink-haired Tammy Fay wannabee spouse, Jan who totally knows how to rock the tears and sport some butt-kickin' eyelashes?
Is it Jesse Duplantis, the exceptionally ADHD, bombastic, out-of-control evangelical equivalent of X-Men's the Beast?
Or how about Jack Van Impe, who has predicted The Beast 666 and the end of the world like 45 times since 1980?
Or how about Benny Hinn who dresses exactly like James Bond 007's nemesis Bloefeld on the Bond films?
Or John Hagee who hates Catholics and talks more about Israel than most Jews do?
Or Jack Hayford, who looks like the county coroner for anyhicktown USA
Or Joel Osteen, who looks like the Home Improvement guy after a severe famine and a touch of psychosis?

Gurney, you've obviously been watching WAAAAAYYY too much of those folks! 
My MIL was telling me one time about how Al Anon tells people to handle folks who are forceful about their opinions.
She said you just smile at them and sweetly say, "You could be right."
Implied, of course, is this: "You could be right...on some frightening bizarro planet where Bozo the Clown is king of the world and okra is considered a delicious food."
Of course, I wouldn't recommend doing that in this situation. There simply is no bizarro planet on which some people could be right.

Then there is Joyce Meyer, who looks much like a more gaunt, terrifying, evil version of Blanche from "The Golden Girls"
