I think rather you should FEAR God and forget the bogeyman theory.

The destroyer angel of sodom and gomorrah was good. Now you don't believe in any bad angels? Only good ones? How convenient. Not really.

Nope and neither does GOD! God does not agree with you!

Isa 54:16
Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the destroyer to destroy.

2Sa 24:16 And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.

Psa 35:5 Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.
6 Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.

Angels also are material beings.
What about the story of Balaam? The angel of the Lord came to Balaam in a spirit form and only the donkey could see him. How else could the angel of the Lord be present but invisible? What else besides spirits can be present but invisible?

But God’s anger was kindled because he went, and the angel of the Lord took his stand in the way as his adversary. Now he was riding on the donkey, and his two servants were with him. 23And the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road, with a drawn sword in his hand. And the donkey turned aside out of the road and went into the field. And Balaam struck the donkey, to turn her into the road. 24Then the angel of the Lord stood in a narrow path between the vineyards, with a wall on either side. 25And when the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, she pushed against the wall and pressed Balaam’s foot against the wall. So he struck her again. 26Then the angel of the Lord went ahead and stood in a narrow place, where there was no way to turn either to the right or to the left. 27When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, she lay down under Balaam. And Balaam’s anger was kindled, and he struck the donkey with his staff.

In the post that started all of this discussion about angels, I nearly wrote "Angels can be physical and material." Now I wish that I would have. But the donkey saw the angel, so he wasn't really very invisible. Plus the angel had a sword in his hand. If the angel's hand was immaterial, the sword would probably clatter to the ground. Also if the angel was immaterial, the donkey should have been able to walk right through it. But it is true that Balaam couldn't see the angel standing right in front of him. Could it be that Balaam was blinded or something? Or maybe he is just inattentive. My wife says that about me sometimes. Maybe Balaam's mind was somewhere else (figuratively speaking, of course). Balaam seems llike kind of a jerk in this story, hitting his poor Jenny just because she could see the angel he overlooked.

Interesting! Muslims don't believe in evil angels either.
 Wrong! Arabic demons (also spelled “afrits”). Djinns In Muslim tradition, powerful spirits which can transform themselves into various shapes, also spelled “jinns,” “jinees,” and “genies” (Arabic). Shaitan Muslim (Arabic) name for Satan, and amalgamated with the Christian Satan.
Baal. Originally the name of a Middle Eastern sky-god worshipped by the original inhabitants of Israel, much denounced but occasionally worshipped by Jews. In the Bible his worship is fiercely denounced.

In some early Western commentaries on Islam, Mumhammad’s visions were ascribed to epileptic fits (Kuortti).

Muhammad was much troubled by satirical poets who attacked
him and had one, named Ka’b, assassinated (Armstrong 185).

Muhammad was accused of being a seer or kahin (Arabic) by the inhabitants of Mecca early in his career, one of several accusations against him made previous to his recognition as the Prophet (Götje. 9, Bader 69). When the angel Gibreel first ordered Muhammad to recite, he protested that he could not, that he was not a kahin (Armstrong 46).

They also believe that they will rule the world and destroy all who do not conform to Islam, especially and in particular Europe and North America.

Babylon The capital of the Neobabylonian ( Chaldean) Empire which conquered ancient Judea and took the Jews into exile; in prophetic writings and in the book of Revelation a synonym for decadent apocalyptic evil; in first century Christian thought a metaphor for Rome, later used as a label for any great power seen as evil; in Jamaican Rastafarian thought, the capitalist world and more specifically, The United States. http://public.wsu.edu/~brians/anglophone/satanic_verses/1.html

In ancient Greek mythology and religion the DOMOS HAIDOU or "realm of Haides" was the land of the dead, the final resting place for departed souls. It was a dark and dismal realm in which bodiless ghosts flitted across grey fields of asphodel. The Homeric poets knew of no Islands of the Blessed or Elysian fields, or for that matter a Tartarean hell, instead all the spirits, including those of the great heroes, descended into Haides.

Erebus was known as the embodiment of primordial darkness, the son of Chaos (who was the void from which all things developed, known also as Darkness). According to Hesiod's Theogony, Erebus was born with Nyx (Night), and was the father of Aether (the bright upper atmosphere) and Hemera (Day). Charon, the ferry-man who took the dead over the rivers of the infernal region, is also said to be the son of Erebus and Nyx.

Later legend describes Erebus as the Infernal Region below the earth. In this version, Hades was split into two regions: Erebus, which the dead have to pass shortly after they have died, and Tartarus, the deepest region, where the Titans were imprisoned. Aristophanes' Birds says that Erebus and Nyx were also the parents of Eros, the god of love.
He is often used metaphorically for Hades itself. Erebus

The Satan doctrine is one of the most deceptive and corrupt doctrines to ever enter Christendom, and which has been embraced and promoted by false teachers for thousands of years.

WHen you say destroying angel.............Do you mean one who holds power to kill humans? Are you saying that this being has authority of death in order to bring a human toward death?

^he-man is that what you mean when you say destroying angel? one who holds the power of death?

and you back that up with Scripture that says the Lord is the destroying angel? is that right?

The fact that a airplane is made invisible to radar (or nearly so) does not mean that the a airplane is "immaterial".

Those angels are using technology slightly higher than our own.

In the mean time - Abraham has a meal with them in the book of Genesis.

And they kill 180,000 in their sleep when the Assyrians come to attack Israel.

YOUR WRONG! Afrits can be good OR evil.

I guess the point of the Balaam story is that donkeys can see things we can't.

Getting back on topic and away from angels...

Lisa*Lisa said:
I don't believe in the fire torment pit of hell.
It has been proven that the bible is correct.
The wages of sin is death. The wages of sin is not to be tortured forever and ever in a mythological place called hell. Those who reject Jesus Christ perish. They are not given eternal life, so they can't possibly be tortured and on fire forever and ever in Never Never Land.

if the soul doesn't leave the body what about these:

There are multiple passages that show the dead are conscious after death.

1st Samuel 28:11-19 - samuel talked with a witch after death

Matthew 12:40 (Jonah 2) – Jonah spoke as one from hell who was dead.

Matthew 17:2-3 – Moses and Elias were talking with Jesus after their death.

Matthew 22:31-32 – Abraham was dead, but still living.

Luke 16:19-31 – Jesus tells the story of dead people speaking in hell. (Some wrongly think this is a parable. It is not. If soul sleep were true then the story is not only false, but the Lord is misleading his hearers as to what is real. This is significant evidence that the dead are not only conscious but can speak and feel.)

Luke 23:43 – Jesus says the malefactor will be in paradise with him “today”.

1 Thessalonians 5:10 – Whether they wake or sleep they live with the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:6-8 – Paul explains that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

2 Corinthians 12:2-4 – Paul describes someone who heard things possibly out of his body.

Philippians 1:23 – Paul says that he would depart to be with Christ, not unconscious.

Revelation 6:9-11 – The souls of the dead are crying out to God.

Problem Definitions

Many of the concepts below are misunderstood, denied, or ignored by those who teach the unconscious dead.

Death does not mean unconsciousness, but rather separation. The only time it means cessation of activity is when it applies to the body.

Body is not the soul; soul is not the body; spirit is not the soul.

Sleep never refers to the soul or spirit. It only applies to the body.

since we are getting back on topic, these are the verses that mention soul sleep problems.....

No, they don't mention soul sleep problems. The dead are not alive. "Soul Sleep" is a strange way to say "people are dead when they are dead and they are not alive and conscious."

Matthew 12:40?
For just as JONAH WAS THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS IN THE BELLY OF THE SEA MONSTER, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. (NASB)

This does not show that dead people are alive, it shows the opposite. Jesus is saying that he will be dead and in the grave for three days and nights.

This also doesn't say a word about hell. The topic is "Let's talk about Hell, I don't believe in the fire torment pit of hell."

but he wasn't dead for three days or three nights, He was in the grave a day and a half. Friday at sundown to sunday morn when He was already resurrected at day break. Thats what I mean. If we don't understand the details about the resurrection how can one understand about Hell?
