Dreams can mean all sorts of things. Since a higher percentage of our dreams are brain responses to what we're going through, you can safely start with looking at your worries and wishes.

A dream like this could relate to guilt and helplessness, feeling inevitably trapped by someone else's declaration of where you should go. The burning man could have been intimidation -- making you fearful that it would happen to you.

If you felt like the dream was from God, then it might be a reminder of long-term consequences. When you assume a dream is from God, you can also assume that He wants you to know what it means, or at least gain something from it. So you can ask Him for help.

Sometimes finding out the meaning takes you down a pathway, where you communicate back and forth with God, and He leads you to information or memories that will be useful in a situation. Let yourself explore a little.

If we set ourselves to pray for others, a dream like this can also show an intensity of need for prayer.

I had a couple questions that might seem silly -- when you say "retain," do you mean keep in your mind, or remain in that spot, or something else.

Do you use European numbering, where the day comes before the month? It might not matter... I just started to look up dates and realized I didn't know what I was working with.

A few days ago i had a dream about heaven and hell and i was pointed to hell and there was a date i was permited to retain and it was 07 April 09 June. What does this mean?

Perhaps since April 7th is in the past and June 9th is in the future, you are thinking of the eternal nature of heaven and hell? Are you thinking that it is past and future, therefore eternal? I'm just guessing and asking. Are you like me, thinking a lot of heaven and hell, and life and death?

April 7, 2012 and June 9, 2012 are both on saturdays. The Jewish Sabbath.

Did you have the dream on May 19th? Also a saturday?

This dream is very difficult to interpret without more information. However, since it appears to relate to heaven and hell, you should really pray about it.

Since in the dream, you were pointed to hell, may I ask, are you absolutely certain you will be accepted by God in eternity? Since I don't know you, I am not saying this in any type of judgmental way. I am simply mentioning it in case the Lord might possibly be trying to speak to you. Please forgive me if this question offends. For all I know, you are a truly God fearing person, and you are bound for heaven. But, let's say, on the off-chance, you might not be, I will just summarize what I believe to be the salient points concerning salvation, as can be found in the Bible. I would encourage you to check out these passages for yourself (or for anyone else who is reading).

1. First, there is only one God, who has revealed Himself in three persons, Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.

2. Second, we are all sinful and in need of a Savior. Jesus Christ is God's only provision for our sin. The wages (or payment) for sin is (eternal) death. But the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (see Romans 3:23, and Romans 6:23)

3. As good as churches are, no church can save us. An organization cannot save us. No, not even our good works can save us. All of these may be good, but they are unable to bring us into a right relationship with God. The only One authorized to bring us into a relationship with God is Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).

4. Our prayers, our worship, and our adoration, should and must be focused on One person alone: God. We are not to pray to another, bow down to another, or give any adoration or worship towards another. It is to be God and God alone! (Exodus 20:3-6)

5. We are commanded to worship God in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24). For such, God seeks as His worshipers. Sometimes, we may get caught up in forms of religious worship that are very far from what God truly desires. The Pharisees and Sadducees were truly religious people, but their religion did not satisfy the heart of God. Jesus said to them, "You are of your father the devil ..." (John 8:44). That means that they were headed to hell (unless they amended their ways).

6. We are not saved on account of how much we give, how often we pray, the name or group of the church we are affiliated with, but by faith in the sacrifice that Jesus gave on our behalf. Also, it is imperative that we understand that there are NO OTHER WAY TO HEAVEN apart from Jesus. "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

7. We are saved by grace, through faith. The Bible puts it like this: "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

8. When we trust in Christ, through faith, we become a child of God, according to John 1:12, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12) This is what it means to become "born again." It means to trust in Christ, and receive Him by faith. We are each born once, and are children of our earthly parents. We are to become "born again" and we do that by trusting in Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3). The term "born again" can also be translated, "born from above." A few verses later, Jesus says, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." (John 3:6) In other words, this is to emphasize that becoming born again is not associated with our physical birth. It is a spiritual rebirth which we need. This is done spiritually (through faith). The fact that faith is the determining factor is repeated in Ephesians 2:8-9 (quoted above) and Titus 3:5-7: "He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." Thus, there is no physical requirement, in order to become born again. It is purely by grace working through faith. This is something to rejoice in! Thus, if anyone tells you that there are a set of "rules" to follow, before God will find you acceptable, or before you can merit heaven, you know that they are on the wrong track!

9. To believe in Jesus Christ, and in His sacrifice, means receiving eternal life. "The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life." (1 John 5:10-13)

10. The entire gospel of John was written in order that we might know that we have eternal life by believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It is imperative we believe that He is God's Son, and not just a man. " Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name." (John 20:30-31)

I would encourage you to read the entire book of John.

Also, if you are not doing so already, I would encourage you to get a readable Bible, and read it daily. The Bible promises you a blessing if you will read it, and heed the things that are written in it. (Psalm 1) (You can read the Bible on-line by searching on "Bible Gateway.")

It is also imperative that each believer find a good, Bible-believing, church, where they can find like-minded individuals and be encouraged and built up in the faith. How do you know which church is the 'right one'? This is a good question. One good question to ask the folks there is what they believe about the Scriptures (the word of God, the Bible). Is the Bible the final authority on all things pertaining to the faith? Or, is there some "higher" authority? If there is a so-called "higher authority," then that is a good sign that you are in the wrong church! God will lead you and guide you as you seek Him in sincerity and in truth.

Jesus constantly pointed His hearers back to the Scriptures, which also pointed to Him!

"But Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not understanding the Scriptures nor the power of God." (Matthew 22:29)

And in the Bible, we read of a group of believers called the "Bereans." The Bible calls them "more noble-minded" than certain others, because they examined the Scriptures daily, to see if the teachings that were being presented to them were actually true. Therefore, we should do likewise.

"The brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so." (Acts 17:10-11)

God bless you!
