Need all the prayers I can get. I haven't even finished last week's essay for one of my classes. Just nothing left to give.

I am praying and fasting for God to move in my congregation so that the people there would realize that they need to be a) deeply committed to God and b) be committed to our church [of those whom God has called to be in our church]. The pastor gives good, Spirit filled sermons - people just need to be at the point where they want to hear from God, let it sink deeply into their souls and then obey God.

Maybe you could pray for wisdom for you to find ways that might help the congregation reach those goals? Instead of praying to God to do all the heavy lifting, how about praying for a way for you to help do some of the lifting?

Hey! It's going to be summer! At least you get a summer, and it sounds like you get summer off. All I get is research season because students like you have summer off, so they decide it's a perfect time for them to learn research. (that means I'm being silly)

Finished all my classes as of 39 minutes ago! Yeah!

Hope the weather's good for you. HOpefully it'll cheer up here for a bit. I'm singing with gospel choir at a wedding tomorrow then it's celebrate the Queen's diamond jubilee, big times, only the second in over 1,000 years of English monarchy.

The other one was Victoria in the 19th century.

Now that summer's here, I decided I would spend it thusly: fast computer [broke that already], tv, and after dinner snacks, pray more for church, my friend Rob and assorted others. Expercise more. And read more especially my text book from the Pauline Epistles class. I have also purchased several N.T. Wright books so that I can get a better grasp on the culture that the New Testament was written in.

So far, other than the computer thingy, I have done well. I even walked 5 miles today in 80 miles which is fast for me and far for me. Things are church have slowly been coming along. It was getting pretty spritually sleepy but God is moving. People are whing unfortunately but that is why I am fasting and praying for it.

How are y'all's summers?

It rained miserably here today. ugh!

It's dry enough here I won't need to mow the lawn this week. Since I was gone last week at annual conference, it means two weeks between mowings -- at least. Maybe three.

It's dry here in Ohio too... and hot in the mid-90s this week.
