What Commandment did God say to; "Remember", that the world wants to forget? (7)

Here is one thing I found interesting:

John 5:5-14

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

5 A man was there who had been [a]ill for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had already been a long time in that condition, He *said to him, “Do you wish to get well?” 7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when (A)the water is stirred up, but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” 8 Jesus *said to him, “(B)Get up, pick up your pallet and walk.” 9 Immediately the man became well, and picked up his pallet and began to walk.
(C)Now it was the Sabbath on that day. 10 So (D)the Jews were saying to the man who was cured, “It is the Sabbath, and (E)it is not permissible for you to carry your pallet.” 11 But he answered them, “He who made me well was the one who said to me, ‘Pick up your pallet and walk.’” 12 They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Pick up your pallet and walk’?” 13 But the man who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had slipped away while there was a crowd in that place. 14 Afterward Jesus *found him in the temple and said to him, “Behold, you have become well; do not (F)sin anymore, (G)so that nothing worse happens to you.”

Anyone else see what Jesus did here?
Yes, Jesus healed the man on the Sabbath of the Lord thy God, being in complete harmony with the work of God and told the man to get up and walk, and to carry away that which he had lain upon, therefore showing that the traditions of the pharisees were worthless and were negating the blessing of the Sabbath by their hard hearts by adding endless restrictions which God never spake, nor commanded. So we see not only Mercy and Grace upon the man, we see that Jesus clearly said, "...Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." John 5:14;p, the very same thing He did for the woman caught in Adultery:

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee [MERCY/GRACE]: go, and sin no more [OBEDIENCE TO THE COMMANDMENTS IN LOVE BECAUSE OF SO GREAT SALVATION, CHANGE OF HEART TOWARDS GOD]. John 8:11

In fact, the Ten Commandments begin in the same manner:

I [am] the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Exodus 20:2 [GRACE/MERCY]

Therefore... Exodus 20:3;p

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Exodus 20:6
[OBEDIENCE TO THE COMMANDMENTS IN LOVE BECAUSE OF SO GREAT SALVATION, CHANGE OF HEART TOWARDS GOD] [Now see John 14:15]

Additionally the 38 years is also very specific, since it points to another 38 years in the scripture, the 38 years of Israel in the wilderness, when finally all the old rebellious generation died out [except Joshua and Caleb], and only the new obedient generation was left who were willing to be obedient to God for His so great salvation, and finally were able to enter into the promised land...

And the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, [was] thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them. Deuteronomy 2:14

Which brings to mind the question of why is the tribe of Dan and the half-tribe of Ephraim missing in Revelation. :confused:

NKJV) Reve 7:4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred [and] forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel [were] sealed:
5 of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand [were] sealed;
of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand [were] sealed;
of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand [were] sealed;
6 of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand [were] sealed;
of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand [were] sealed;
of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand [were] sealed;
7 of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand [were] sealed;
of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand [were] sealed;
of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand [were] sealed;
8 of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand [were] sealed;
of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand [were] sealed;
of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand [were] sealed.

13 Tribes; 1 with no inheritance, 1 with double inheritance.

Revelation 7 Names in Different Order

Judah = "Jew" = "I Will Praise The LORD" (Genesis 29:35)

And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.

Reuben = "Behold A Son" = "HE Has Looked On Me" (Genesis 29:32)

And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.

Gad = "Troop" = "Given Good Fortune" (Genesis 30:11)

And Leah said, A troop cometh: and she called his name Gad.

Asher = "Happy" = "Happy Am I" (Genesis 30:13)

And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed: and she called his name Asher.

Naphtali = "Wrestling" = "My Wrestling" (Genesis 30:8)

And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.

Manasseh = "Causing To Forget" = "Is Making Me To Forget" (Genesis 41:51)

And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, [said he], hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.

Simeon = "Heard" = "GOD Hears Me" (Genesis 29:33)

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard that I [was] hated, he hath therefore given me this [son] also: and she called his name Simeon.

Levi ** = "Joined To" = "Is Attached To Me" (Genesis 29:34)

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.

Issachar = "There Is Recompense" = "HE Has Purchased Me" (Genesis 30:18)

And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.

Zebulun = "Exalted" = "A Dwelling" (Genesis 30:20)

And Leah said, God hath endued me [with] a good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called his name Zebulun.

Ephraim * = "Double Ash Heap" = "I Shall Be Doubly Fruitful" (Genesis 41:52)

And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

Joseph = "Jehovah Was Added" = "GOD Will Add To Me" (Genesis 30:24)

And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me another son

Benjamin = "Son Of The Right Hand" = "SON Of HIS Right Hand" (Genesis 35:17,18)

And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also. And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.

Dan * = "A Judge" (Genesis 30:6)

And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.

Therefore the names as they are given in the order in Revelation say:

I Will Praise The LORD [for] HE Has Looked On Me [and] Granted Good Fortune. Happy Am I [because] My Wrestling, GOD Is Making Me To Forget. GOD Hears Me [and] Is Attached To Me. HE Has Purchased Me A Dwelling [and] Will Add To Me The SON Of HIS Right Hand.

Or

Now I Will Praise The LORD [for] Surely The LORD Hath Looked Upon My Affliction [and] Granted Good Fortune [therefore] Happy Am I [even though] With Great Wrestlings Have I Wrestled [but] GOD Is Making Me To Forget All My Toil [for] the LORD Hath Heard Me [being] Joined Unto Me [and] HE Has Purchased Me [wanting] To Dwell With Me [and] The LORD Shall Add To Me [also] The Son Of HIS Right Hand.

The same book says to throw out the law in 4:30. ...
That is a complete misunderstanding of Pauls comparison to Hagar and Sarah with the Old and New Covenants, for it does not say in the least to "throw out the law":

Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. Galatians 4:30

Yep . Jesus told someone to break the Sabbath and then slipped away .
Thus the very same accusation against Jesus [and his disciples] of which the very Pharisees, etc accused Him [them] of...

But when the Pharisees saw [it], they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. Matthew 12:2

And, behold, there was a man which had [his] hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. Matthew 12:10

And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful? Mark 2:24

And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him. Mark 3:2

And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days? Luke 6:2

And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. Luke 6:7

And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. Luke 13:14

And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him. Luke 14:1

And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day? Luke 14:3

The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry [thy] bed. John 5:10

And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. John 5:16

...and like the Pharisees, all who come with such accusation, will like them, seek to kill those who speak the truth...

But
now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. John 8:40

...for if Christ Jesus actually told anyone to break the Sabbath, or if He Himself broke the Sabbath, He was a sinner, and thus cannot be the Saviour, yet we know of Scripture:

"...lamb shall be without blemish..." [Exodus 12:5]

"...the innocent blood..."[Matthew 27:4]

"...lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him."[Luke 23:15]

"...this man hath done nothing amiss." [Luke 23:41]

"...I have kept my Father's commandments..." [John 15:10]

"...I find in him no fault [at all]."[John 18:38]

"...I find no fault in him." [John 19:4]

"...I find no fault in him."[John 19:6]

"...the obedience of one..." [Romans 5:19]

"...who knew no sin..."
[2 Corinthians 5:21]

"...without sin."
[Hebrews 4:15]

"...[who is] holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners..." [Hebrews 7:26]

"Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:"[1 Peter 2:22]

"...in him is no sin."[1 John 3:5]

"How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God..."Hebrews 9:4;p

Not to mention that Christians often say that the only reason Jesus kept the law was because He hadn't died yet, and they were still in force.

Yet when it comes the Sabbath part, they say he broke it. >.<

That means they are confessing that Jesus sinned, and violated His own law in the Old Covenant!

Be nice ;)

Everyone has their "typical" ways. What about all the "typical" arguments used against SDA?

Let's face it, we all have our "typical" ways. :)

Paul says no such thing. You misinterpret passages such as Romans 14 and Colossians 2:16.

These passages do not say what you think they are saying.

It's as simple as that.
Simple? You are in extreme denial if I were to post passages from those areas of the bible you would have to be a contortionist to get around the landmines in them that blows up your doctrinal position. Paul goes on and on about NOT demanding anything of others regarding the Law. He insists those who demand are passing judgment on them I don't see how one can avoid that if one judges typically one assumes they are guilty and Paul insists "NO judging" which means "NO guilt". and no guilt means the Law doesn't have power to over us.

Paul is talking about the Ceremonial Law contained in ordinances that are shadows of things to come. Not the Moral Law of Ten Commandments.

We've been down this road a billion times. We have exegetically and soundly established these pillars from God's Sacred Declarations of Holy Writ, and they shall NOT be moved. They are irrefutable.

Galatians 4:30
only if you divorce the verse from the context can you even begin to say sucha thing. Paul is clearly using an allegory as stated in what v 24? The subject being discussed isn't the bondwoman and her son as you put on.

Exactly :thumbsup:
What is ironic is the guy who broke it wasn't punished either as far as we know and I bet they were mad at Jesus while ignoring the guy who broke the Law himself.

So what is it about LK 16:16, Jn *:1-11 and Mat 5:21-22 you don't understand?
