Vietnam, like so many issues like this, could have been avoided.

When Ho Chi Minh asked for assistance to become independent from France the US told him to go blow.

So who could he go to?

Why those people that we tried to overthrow in the early 1900s. The USSR.

But you see they don't teach of the White Cossacks, Pershing and the retreat to Archangel in history in the US much.

Why? Because we would look like the bad guys.

Same as we did when you look at Admiral Perry and Japan.

But we had this Imperialist phase we were going through to keep up with the European Jonses.

Newbie, your own posts could be avoided, yet they're here just the same. You missed the entire point.

And once again you, what was it you said to Hawk..."tip your hand" and show that you know nothing of the beliefs of proponents of states rights. How long, disciple, will you insist on misrepresenting the beliefs of those you disagree with? It doesn't help your case at all, as all it makes you look is shot of all credibility and intellectually dishonest.

Wait... He's not?

Guess there's tremendous hope for Clinton, Obama, etc...

Teaparty, Paul want:

Weakens federal government and state's to have more rights to choose their own way.

Marxists want:

No central government and regions to have their own government.

Both say no government should tell me what to do. I should rule myself without any interference.

Maybe your ears are a bit off but mine say it is vaguely familiar.

It's only vaguely familiar (and the word is "similar", not familiar) to you because you misrepresent Paul and the Tea Party's position to begin with. They don't want the states to be stronger than the federal government. The federal government would still be the centralized government. All they are suggesting is giving the states the right to govern themselves WITHIN the federal government, but NOT be more powerful than the federal government.

Marxists don't want to be American citizens. They hate America; marxists want to be something other than Americans, and not citizens, but comrades.

Marxists don't want a voice in government. They want to be the voice of government.

So do Christian Dominionists -- so what?
"Christian Dominionists???" ^_^:D^_^

Well, notwithstanding that absurdity, let alone that there may now be at least two groups out there who:

1) don't want to be American citizens
2) hate America
3) prefer to be comrades rather than citizens
4) want to be the [voice of] government...

What is utterly confounding is the question "- - so what?"

Well, notwithstanding that absurdity, let alone that there may now be at least two groups out there who:

1) don't want to be American citizens

Do not Christians consider themselves first an foremost to be citizens of the Kingdom of God?

If they wish to consider themsleves in this world but not of it, it stands to reason that they would not associate themselves with any particular (Earthly) nation.

Alas, they do -- showing that "standing to reason" may not be one of their strong points.

2) hate America

Obviously our secular nature sticks in their craw.

3) prefer to be comrades rather than citizens

Unless you're willing to explain the difference in any meaningful way, I shall dismiss this as the soundbyte it seems to be.

4) want to be the [voice of] government...

That's more or less the point of "dominion," is it not?

What is utterly confounding is the question "- - so what?"

Apologies if you are so easily confounded -- my point is that Dominionists huff and puff, but haven't really accomplished anything of substance.

Therefore, I see no reason to press the panic button over your own boogyman -- the big bad "marxists."

...that people are seeking "evidence" of it?

Maybe you're a bit confused. Asking for evidence is not evidence that Marxists hate America and don't want to be American citizens is not evidence that Marxists hate America/don't want to be citizens.

So, come on. Evidence.
