For those who believe we are living in the end times.....

When you see Bible prophecy lining up as the Bible says the end times will be - how do we really pray.

The Bible says that in the end times there will be a one world government and a one world religion. When we see our government taking us right down that road - how do we pray. Someone has to bring about the Bible prophecy - how are we to feel about the government when we see they are plainly going against what is right, but yet something has to happen to bring it about.

The Bible also says that in the end times that Jerusalem will be fought over - we can see that happening now and all sides believe they are right - but Bible prophecy will happen - how do we pray?

I can see so many things happening that is bringing about Bible prophecy and I was just wondering - when it is God's Will - and it goes against what we feel is right - but you know it will happen - how do we pray?

We don't want Socialism - but the Bible says that in end times - it will be a one world government - we don't want a false religion, yet the Bible says that in the end time there will be a one world religion and we know it is false. How do we pray?

When I was a Christian, I fully believed the End Times were coming (in the 80's). Remember Hal Lindsey's Late, Great, Planet Earth book? I read that thing like 5 times. I was so convinced that I was seeing all the prophecies of the Bible coming true right before my eyes.

The Apostle Paul also believed that the end times were near. We do not know when Jesus will return as He told us we would not know. Yes, he mentioned signs, but every age has seen those signs.

There are many times that I pray that He comes quickly. I do wonder what kind of the world my grandchildren will be living in.

The only difference in these end times prophecies is that the Bible says after Israel becomes a state then you will see all these things happening, look up your redemption is near.

It is like the powder keg is ready to be lit - Israel is surrounded by nothing but enemies, there is likely to be a battle over Jerusalem soon, these are the beginning of the end. Everything is set - Russia is asking Iran to attack Israel with them, the Bible says that China will have a million man army marching down the Euphrates, they have that - it is likely in all that battle many Muslims will be killed, since all those countries surrounding Israel has many Muslims and the Bible says 1/3 of the people will be killed I would say many Muslims will die.

American is not mentioned in this battle - but we have troups stationed all over and if the battle comes, how could we not be involved.

Acts 4: 24-31 said:
24And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: 25Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
26The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
27For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
28For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.
29And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
30By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

31And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Ever read von Daniken? Chariots of the Gods really got me thinking ... he pointed out a lot of unexplained phenomena. His answers may be lacking ... but so have most other people's attempts to explain those things.

As for Bible prophecies, Wormwood did it for me.

How are you supposed to pray?

Let us ask your King.

Mat 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Mat 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Mat 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Mat 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.
Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Mat 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Mat 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Mat 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

He IS your sovereign correct? Should you not follow your King?

Sharon, this is something I've been wondering about as well. I agree with QA, that we should pray the Lord's will, but I believe we can also pray beyond that.

We can pray that mercy be shown those to whom it CAN be shown.

We can pray for wisdom, for ourselves and our local, state and church leaders. It may be a so-called "lost prayer" when it comes to national leaders, but those within our respective states and communities aren't really going to have much to do with bringing about the NWO.

We can pray for blessing upon ourselves, so that we can be a blessing to others.

And we can pray for protection, Divine protection, upon the family of Christ; that we be sheltered and cared for in these times of trial, tribulation and hardship.

He IS your sovereign correct? Should you not follow your King?

Thank you, Richard. Your pointed, sharp and ever dry sarcasm is always so refreshing, especially when it's out of place. Then again, you hold to humanistic views, so I guess you're right on target for your own beliefs.

I agree. We should also pray for our national leaders even when we don't want to do so.

Oh, absolutely. I wasn't suggesting leaving them out of our prayers- Merely that for some, such prayers may be considered a waste of time. Personally, I pray Scripture over them. Why? Because God's Word does not return void. ;)

Yeah? And who says she's not? Look, if you're going to set yourself up as the Chief Pharissee of this board, tossing stones at Christians because you think their moral behavior is lacking, it seems that the least you could do is point out the alleged bad behavior of the Christian in question.

And you don't need to keep capitalizing "King." We get it. He calls Himself "shepherd, vinedresser, the Son of Man, the Son of God, King of Kings, the Potter, the Redeemer, Light, Love, Truth, the Lamb of God," and many other names. But you like "KING," because it gives you a chance to hurl judgemental rhetoric at those whom you have deemed to be imperfect subjects to this King.

But here's a little advice: No way you can match the Holy Spirit in manifesting the shortcomings of believers in order to bring them to the attention of the believers. The Spirit has inside knowledge of our sins. You don't. You're just a nag, and no one pays heed to nags.

.

What is even more interesting is that these verses were referenced in one of the first replies on this thread and in Post 10, the OP thanked us for the reminders of praying the Lord's Prayer.

Most Christians pray this prayer in worship at the very least. Sometimes we need the reminder that this is the best prayer of all and we should use it in situations such as the OP was asking, which, as I said, she acknowledged later was right.

I didn't get why disciple2011 posted it again in the way he did either.
