Is It a Sin for Christians to wear white after Labor Day?

Popular etiquette suggests that it is a major faux pas to wear white after Labor Day, but every so often you still see someone wearing white pants, or white shirts, or white whatever-have-you after Labor Day.
Granted, it's only March, but the next time I go clothes shopping, I want to be sure that I'm not being conformed to the world and it's changing, shifting passions (and I'll likely be wearing the same clothes before and after Labor Day, weather depending).
So, just a little guidance, please.
