Hi gang! I have a question - what are the "little things" that you appreciate about your spouse?

I'll start. I love how we are always on the same wavelength. Like, a random line from some movie will pop into my head and he'll be thinking of it too and we both just start repeating it out loud at the same time. Makes me laugh every time! It's like we share the same brain.

How about you guys?

I like how when my wife wants me to do something for her (from giving our son a bath to just getting her something to drink), she always does it the exact same way. She says my name in the exact same tone and always makes an exaggerated sad face after she asks me to do whatever it is. If I say no, she'll always grab me a big hug to try to convince me....which is why I initially say no most of the time before giving in ;)

My wife likes to cook and is really good at it. I like how when I am craving a certain food sometimes, which isn't often since she keeps it interesting, I'll go home and that food will be for dinner. Either we are on the same 'wavelength' or the Lord is giving me the desire of my heart through her in these small things. Sometimes, I don't even pray about it and it's there. It doesn't happen every day or every week, but it's happened several times.

I love this question :). I think most of the important things are little things. What I've noticed he will do which I really appreciate is organise my notes and books for me. I tend to just pile them on the bookshelf. He adds sticky labels with "QM" and dates stuff. He never says he does it or is going to do it and I find it very sweet and helpful.

He's funny and intelligent. When he gets into something, he will learn everything about it. We went and looked at guns just now, and he wants me to get a 9mm Glock - the newest generation - and there my knowledge of the gun ends, other than it's light to handle, the sights are great and I can actually open the slide! He knew more than the salesman, which was too darn funny. My h is talking about all the features and the salesman goes "it does?" and "I didn't know that." I got a kick out of that. ^_^ He's also very generous. And he can be quiet when quietness is needed, because I know that for a talker, that's hard, and I appreciate that he makes the effort and doesn't make me feel bad for wanting some 'quiet time'.

Aw!
Remi'll carry my rifle for me when we hunt; and he always lets me use the SKS semi-automatic because the kick on the 30.6 is too much for me. :)
Glock's are gorgeous! I tried a few when I was working for the RCMP, Firearms dept. do you go to a range?

Also, Remi never complains or says "no" whenever I ask him to clean the kitchen or the bathroom. He's always happy to help and does it with such a willing spirit, I try to never take advantage of it.
It's very sweet.

Peace,
-Niff

Yes Niffer, we go to a range. I couldn't actually shoot a living thing, lol, because I'm such a baby, but I can shoot a target. :) We are going to the range tonight and I will rent their Glock 9 mil to try it out. We didn't buy this one today because I want to make sure that the recoil isn't too much. When we got our first gun - S&W .38, I got firing bruises all over the v of my thumb and first finger and my thumb "popped" constantly for 2 days, and I don't like to fire it even now I have built up a bit of toughness with the guns. So, if it has that kind of recoil, I don't want it. We do have two .22's and I fire them most of the time. We have a Walther and a new Beretta, with the long barrel. I do like guns!!

My husband brings me coffee in bed during the week and I bring it to him on the weekend.
We do a version of that. It's so nice. Someone said it was the little things that are the most important. I think that is largely true. I also know from experience that I can add to "the little things" and sometimes it really surprises my wife. Sometimes after an argument or during a rough patch the little things can virtually come to a standstill. But I think it's important to keep them going. Love is not like a leaf that reacts to every breeze and gust. It is so much deeper than that as we read in the "Love is patient, love is kind" portion of scripture by the Apostle Paul.

 Anessa.

Another little thing that my husband does is always asks me how my day was. Sometimes I don't want to talk about work, because I am sick of thinking about it, but he always asks - without fail - and listens to me when I do want to vent about all the people he doesn't even know. :)

He really does think about the things I like. If he goes to get <evil> donuts for everyone else at Shipleys, he will stop by Starbux to get me a decaff coffee and oatmeal. (Seriously it's what I prefer.) I love that he doesn't just come back with donuts for everyone else, and leave me to make my own breakfast.

I love that he buys me new toys!! (Bersa "Thunder" .380) Wish it wasn't an Argentinian gun, but I can keep that info from my side of the family!
