The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

I have a huge collection of popular movies among which the girl with the dragon tattoo is one. I have watched it twice. I found no shortcoming in the movie and really liked it.

Yup, watched it but never read the book (although its on my shelf about ten feet away..)

Just remember that it does have some pretty uhhhh erm, graphic scenes that can be a bit emotionally disturbing. It's not the gore factor (which there is plenty of) but the overall realization that some people are evil

the only good thing about the trilogy is the lisbeth salamander character. she's fit and she kicks [butt]. most of all, she's fit.

There was soooo much hype surrounding this movie, and the books. For the life of me, I can't understand why.

I saw the extended version trilogy on blu ray, and I thought the story was just too unrealistic and over-the-top. More like a comic book than anything. Particularly the 2nd part. I don't want to spoil the movie, but the end of the 2nd one made me shake my head. My sister says the books are better than the movies, but frankly, I don't feel like taking the time to read them to find out. I've already wasted enough time on them.

By the way, my fiance is Swedish, and he said they're incorrect when they say "Liv" means "Eve."

We watched the english version and I was very impressed. It's one of the best movies I've seen in over a year. Certainly some very graphic parts in it so it's not for kids or people who can't handle watching something they could find disturbing, but overall it was a very solid film. Gonna start on the books soon, I think.

I watched foreign version first. I did get the creeps. It was worth the subtitles though. i plan on going to the USA version next week.

I prefer the foreign version because the female lead was better in it. This film is very violent. Very graphic and I knew the new one would follow in that direction. I can't say I love the films but they were interesting and the story intrigued me when I first saw the Swedish ? one.
