Labor not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.
Will thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven. <-----> Proverbs 23:4+5
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou cries after knowledge, and lifts up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seeks her as silver, and searches for her as for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
He keeps the paths of judgment, and preserves the way of his saints.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
When wisdom enters into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: <-----> Proverbs 2:1-11
Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding.
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou can desire are not to be compared unto her.
Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor.
Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retains her. <-----> Proverbs 3:13-18
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honor, when thou dost embrace her.
She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
When thou goes, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runs, thou shalt not stumble.

Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribbon of blue:
And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:
That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God. <-----> Numbers 15:37-40
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand does:
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which sees in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
And when thou prays, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Seek him that makes the seven stars and Orion, and turns the shadow of death into the morning, and makes the day dark with night: that calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:
That strengthens the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress. <-----> Amos 5:8+9
And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians. <-----> 2nd Chronicles 16:12
Now for a long season Israel has been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. <-----> Isaiah 8:19+20
Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
For the customs of the people are vain... <-----> Jeremiah 10:2+3
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD has said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walks after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you. <-----> Jeremiah 23:16+17
He that trusts in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walks wisely, he shall be delivered. <-----> Proverbs 28:26
Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causes to err from the words of knowledge. <-----> Proverbs 19:27
It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. <-----> John 6:63
Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. <-----> 1st Corinthians 6:13
Labor not for the meat which perishes, but for that meat which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. <-----> John 6:27
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. <-----> Jeremiah 15:16
He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. <-----> John 12:48-50
The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.
And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. <-----> Ecclesiastes 12:10-14
