No. The extent of God's salvation is for humans only (not angels). Thus, any human we are love, even if they are (currently) our enemies. God may use our love-witness as a means to reach them and bring them to salvation. There is no hope nor salvation for Satan (devil) and the fallen angels (demons/evil spirits).

Forgiving is a mandate that we must obey for God has forgiven us so much and we cannot help but forgive.

But i also belive in hating what is evil but still loving and forgiving the person doin it(i hope i can be consistent in that)

Blackwing,

I think being consistent in that is easier than the world would have us believe. If we maintain our walk with Christ his love will naturally flow through us and out of us. Unfortunately, the world would have us and others believe that if you speak against someones actions then you hate that person. This is so, so far from the truth.

It seems so simple to me that I don't have to, or even need to, like someones actions to love the person. And by loving, I am much more concerned about their soul/spirit than their outward trappings.

Even Jesus offended people, because he spoke against their sin. They were so offended that they crucified him. We are his disciples and people are offended by the very nature of who we are if we are in Christ. Jesus can't be crucified all over (I am sure there are some who would do that), so those that follow him are villified as "fundamentalists", "bigots", "hypocrites"(because we aren't perfect), and any number of other derogatory handles. When, in truth, we speak out BECAUSE we love and want people to see the benefit of the awesome grace and power of God.

blackwing,

I too wish for that in myself. i would urge you (I have to remind myself of this all the time) to stand on faith and believe that his love will flow through you. His love is in us already for his Spirit resides in us. We can do it through faith in his power.

Philippians 4:13
"I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me".

I LOVE THAT VERSE!!! The love is there, man. And the power to use it is there too, through Christ.

Proverbs 6:16-19
These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: [17] A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, [18] An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, [19] A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

It is easy to see who is and who is not going to be in Heaven. People who sow discord amoung the brothern will not be there. It all starts off with pride and the lies of the devil.

We have a situation in our church right now a group of our singers left, because they did not feel the camera was on them enough of the time. God gave them a chance to sing for the nations, but pride got in their way. Now they are trying to take as many people with them as they can. It's really sad, because you have to wonder if they are saved or not at this point.

Paul says this is a work of the flesh and that they must go out from among us, so God can show who is and who is not approved. Thanks, JohnR7

1 Cor. 11:18-19
For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. [19] For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, [20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, [21] Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

For me ,love is for all beings,it is me that loses if I do not love a being created by God as master potter.....clearly we do not like some ,even many ,of the acts of beings, even our fellow humans , but that doesnot stop us loving them does it? [What about Hitler for instance, can you love the man whilst not approving what he did]
So what happens when Satan becomes the man of sin, son of death, pretending to be Christ retuned.....many will like his acts because he will be seeming to be doing great good, and with a following of 'ministers of righteousness'.......many will love him and again they will be loving his acts, not his being......but the question is can those who hate Satan now, then love him just because he has become a man.........???

God hates some things. So should we?

We are to love our enemys as we love OURSELF first.

God also tells us that we should HATE evil. And if anything is evil it is Satan!! We love people, but hate what is evil. Satan is not a person but he is evil.

Matt. 5
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

Romans 9:13
As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Than what is the opposite of Hate? Just wondering.

I think that we are to love our enemies as oursleves, and I don't believe that God would want us to treat satan the way we want to be treated. Remember, he is only here to kill, steal, and destroy.

Great penetration of thought zamar!
So beloved people what about this hating of other beings when Satn becomes the man of sin, the ANTICHRIST, can you love the man that was spirit [as Jesus became a man] ....why would you love him as a man but not as a cherub???
Satan was made perfect [like you?] and sin was found in him [like you?] ....are you really not going to forgive if he should repent? What exactly do you intend doing with hate in you?
ALL the vengeance belongs solely to God [and He prefers mercy that endures FOREVER.... doesn't that sound better than hating His creation.

Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

This is an interesting thread! The opposite of love is indifference, someone remarked to me. How true. Indifference can hurt more than cruel words/anger/direct confession of hate. When someone totally doesn't care to tell you why they no longer care.

So love would mean CARE.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres 1 Corinthians 13:6

Tell me if that isn't the opposite of indifference..
