I have this dog in my responsibility and there is no choice in the matter (I understand how vague this already sounds, but please just trust that there is no viable way for me not to have this dog). It is very small, very loud and rarely obeys commands even when given consistent direction. Now, I understand, like any human being would, that hurting an animal for the sake of hurting an animal is just wrong. It's counter-productive and will never bring life out of the act. Here is my predicament. I cannot handle this abysmal creature. I have literally tried everything. Training, scolding, even ignoring it. It has gotten to the point where if I don't keep it outside I end up physically harming it just so it shuts up. And it works. Well. Though now I'm finding that my actions are becoming far too much of a habit and it clearly has effected the psychological part of the dog.
I understand no one will see this as a just way of acting. Maybe I'm writing this because I need to get it off my chest. I'm just wondering what you think of this from a biblical standpoint? Does anyone relate? Any advice?
