Two wrongs make one right? It just does not....I will not live with it my grandchildren and great grand children will live with it...and it is unfair. That is all I am saying and BTW there are international courts that would look into things and some cases indeed may take years to prove still does not mean that people do not find justice.

Blah blah blah it's unfair boohoohoo. Unfairness it utterly irrelevant to the discussion when the unfairness is unavoidable due to the inability to pay of the guilty. So deal with it and eat cake.

Greek labour and product markets are rigid by international comparison,
which points to the potential for productivity gains from further liberalization. Steps to simplify the start-up
of businesses, promote exports, reinforce the Competition Authority, and liberalise

blah blah blah....Greece is NOT part of what? Free market economy...they do not have privatized utilities etc...let's bomb them financially... cute really cute...

Okay, let's hear your suggestion on who should pay. Offer a solution in which no innocent person anywhere suffers any negative consequences for what the "crooks" did.
How about reintroducing regulations and freeing government from corporatism! Then we can move on to accountability!

Doesn't save the "innocent people of Greece" from the consequences of the actions of the "crook politicians", only prevents the same from happening again. Try again. Now, let's hear your solution which will instantly clean the mess without any innocent person anywhere having to suffer anything for it.

You are asking a loaded question. It is like asking: "show me how you can send to jail a father who has committed a crime but without his children suffering from his incarceration".

The crooked politicians cannot be punished as they voted to have all their transgressions absolved through immunity.

They cannot be tried in a court of law for their crimes. What we need now is the judiciary system to be free from interference and to function properly by applying the law to all irrespective of their public position.

As things are now, we have to first correct the public institutions that have been corroded by corruption.

The ammount of money owed in taxes by 14,000 high earning people (industrialists, politicians, doctors, etc.) amounts to approximately 40 billion €. The harsh measures forced on us are aimed at collecting approximately 8 billion€. The IRS has declared that it is unable to collect the 40 billion in back taxes from those 14,000 people. This is unacceptable as we all know that no one is willing to go against them as they are prominent and powerful members of our society.

Until the IRS can house clean and collect those taxes then we the rest of the people have to suffer by paying moneys we cannot afford to pay.

If you are sincere about learning of our predicament and not here to just vent your hate for the Greeks than I am willing to discuss this issue with you; Otherwise there is no need to reciprocate to your posts.

And that's exactly the point. It's impossible to resolve the current situation in such a way that no innocent people anywhere will suffer any negative consequences for it.

Thus you will agree with me in rejecting Philothei's demand that innocent Greeks should be shielded from suffering for the actions of their crooked politicians.

The "shoulds" and "shouldn'ts" are irrelevant. What it matters here is the truth about the Greek debt and who "IN TRUTH" again is responsible for paying it. If our politicians and our gover. system is corrupt obviously it is our business. And if our business is to overturn it in order to clean our act then that is what we have to do. Where do you find the "impossible" I cannot see it... I did not talk about "innocent people anywhere" just this specific case.

300 politicians enjoying immunity and never having to pay for their crimes is very different to making 10 million people suffer!
