I feel we need to set some sort of rules and guidlines for posting in this forum. And am wondering how everyone would feel about having the following as such.

Also if we can agree on this as our guidline and rules, if one of the Mods here would be so kind as to copy the following and turn it into a post that would stay atop the forum as a please read the rules before posting thread. Your help, and feedback would be most appreciated.

I thank you all in advance for taking the time to read and consider this.

........................................................................

We will use Gods Word as our rules and guideline for posting in this forum.

Let us walk in the Spirit as we go about posting in this forum. When we walk in the Spirit we should be able to make make our posts in a loving way without debate, and endless arguments. Without biting, and devouring one another as the following scripture describes.

Galatians 5:15-18
But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary the one to the other; that ye may not do the things that ye would. But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Please check the following items of flesh at the door, and leave them behind, before entering into any discussion in this forum.

Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties, envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Please bring only the following items with you, as you enter into discussion on this forum. For these are the works of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.

May the Spirit of Christ shine through this place, as we gather together in His Spirit for fellowship.

Galatians 5:24-26
And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof. If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk. Let us not become vainglorious, provoking one another, envying one another.

May this forum be about the inner workings of Christ. A place where we can gather together as one, and learn to grow in His Spirit, and draw closer to our Lord God Almighty. A place where we can encourage, uphold, and uplift one another through the teachings of Christ, in our fellowship with one another.

Amen! You are surely right! It has become apparent that one needs to be a mod to successfully enjoy the fellowship and breaking of bread with other Christians of like mind or at least have some kind of rules that the Mods can and will enforce. Otherwise ther will be one attack after another by some one sowing discord among the brethren!

I appreciate what you have posted and pray the rules will be put in place.

I agree with you GraftMeIn and Gerry.  It gets real tiring of giving someone the Word of God on a subject only to have them give you man's opinions.  I don't think a Christian Forum is a place for people to be rude to others.  I think it should be a place for sharing and caring.

This forum could be such a beautiful place... if we were to each come in as Christians not particular church members. There are plenty of other forums to hash out our differences. I was hoping that this forum would be a place to rejoice in the thing that makes us all the same. Our LOVE for God, Jesus and each other.

My prayers are with you all.

Thanks for the support and agreement on this everyone. And thanks Sharky for attempting to make it a sticky lol! I guess we will just have to wait on an Admin for that. Given the fact that Mods agree on this, I'm sure an Admin will also agree.

Thanks again! May Gods Will be done in the establishment of this forum.

Yes! It was thus dedicated from day one! It COULD indeed be a beautiful place if people would allow it!

Although getting deep does sometimes get pretty ugly... lol :D

Yes, my friend, getting deep with God reveals all that is within me that is not like Him.  That is pretty ugly.

But thanks be to God, when we repent He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us and we are just like new.  Then the process starts up again.

An on-going process of Him molding and conforming me into His image.

Is it ever okay to disagree with the way someone has interpretted scripture in this forum, or it is for agreement only?

What happens if someone disagrees?

There have been a couple times when I disagreed with someone, in the most polite way I thought, and it turned into ugly PMs with name-calling. It is going to be that in this Forum, we must display our nice faces, but PM each other the nasty grams?

Paul Laurence Dunbar wrote the most wonderful poem about the way Christians sometimes treat each other. It's called The Mask:

We wear the mask that grins and lies,
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes, -
This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,
And mouth with myriad subtleties.

Why should the world be overwise,
In counting all our tears and sighs?
Nay, let them see only us, while
We wear the mask.

We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries
To thee from tortured souls arise.
We sing, but oh the clay is vile
Beneath our feet, and long the mile;
But let the world dream otherwise,
We wear the mask!

My point is this. While no debating should be done here, we shouldn't have to wear our masks here either.

I know I've been blacklisted here.

I hope nobody has blacklisted you.  I have never known any of your posts to be offensive or quarrelsome.

God bless you lambslove.
