Alright all of my brothers and sisters in Christ here in the OBOB.
I admit that I once hated Latin as a child because I did not understand it, not even a single word but now that I am a grown up guy... I LOVE IT! Especially that it is one of the holy languages out there for being one of the many sources of today's Bible and when songs of the Church are in Latin, they sound so peaceful and solemn.

Gloria in Excelsis Deo:
Inside the Catholic Church: "Gloria in excelsis Deo" - YouTube

Credo:
Gregorian Chant-Credo - YouTube

Sanctus Sanctus Sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth:
Sanctus,Benedictus, Hosanna, Missa De Angelis - YouTube

Pater Noster:
Pater Noster Oratio Dominica â™± Our Father The Lord's Prayer - YouTube

((( and of course this Greek song that was encorporated into our missal:
Kyrie Eleieson:
Gregorian Chant Kyrie Eleison - YouTube )))

Oh! Divine Classics are made of epic win! So solemn, so holy!

I know, Kyrie Eleieson is actually Greek but mistaken by many as Latin because it was incorporated to the Latin Mass. Kyrie's (κύριε) root word is Kyrios (κύριος) which means Lord and there is a certain explanation to this.

I think this calls it!

Send a little of your admiration over to my dear wife, will you, Azureknight?

I love Latin; she hates it. We were at a weekday Mass together not long ago, and our super-orthodox new young priest performed the entire Liturgy of the Eucharist in flawless Latin. :) I was enraptured; she was grinding her teeth.

YES! Wolseley-san! Go ahead!

Aw how bad! May she develop the same fire that I have in me soon. I love this and I am burning for the Tridentine Mass which I am leaning forward with passion. I am learning it fast, especially when I watch EWTN's Daily Mass (which I am watching online with Father Mitch Pacwa.) when the priest says "Dominus vobiscum!", I say "Et cum espiritu tuo!" or the lay minister/ altar boy reads and says "Verbum Domini", immediately I say "Deo gratias", and then when the songs are sung in Latin, I am able to either sing or recite it little by little and furthered by my download of a Novus Ordo Latin with a 1973 ICEL Mass (which I discontinue to use it and used the 2011 Roman Missal instead even if my country is not yet using that new translation). The lyrics and words are there that makes me able to jive well with that mass of theirs. The first Latin version of prayer that I memorized was the Lord's Prayer and then the "Quia Tuum est Regnum, et Potestas, et Gloria in saecula. AMEN!" but prior to that was the singing of the cross: "In nomine Patri, et Filli, et Spiritus Sancti AMEN" and then lately, I memorized the Sanctus Sanctus Sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth.

I really love it

When I was learning it, I hated it, and particularly hated it whenever people started going on about how wonderful it is. I would sit there thinking, "oh, yeah? Try reading its literature!" Now, though, I can take a bit more of a balanced view. Provided no-one is praising it too much.

Anyway, Missa VIII is rather dull, IMO. Try Missa XI:
Missa " ORBIS FACTOR", Gregoriano, Giovanni Vianini, Schola Gregoriana Mediolanensis, Milano, Italia - YouTube
Missa XI (Orbis factor) - Ite missa est - YouTube

Also, the Easter Sunday Sequence is fantastic:
Anastasis - Victimae paschali laudes - YouTube
( Victimae paschali laudes
immolent Christiani.

Agnus redemit oves:
Christus innocens Patri
reconciliavit peccatores.

Mors et vita duello
conflixere mirando:
dux vitae mortuus,
regnat vivus.

Dic nobis Maria,
quid vidisti in via?

Sepulcrum Christi viventis,
et gloriam vidi resurgentis:

Angelicos testes,
sudarium, et vestes.

Surrexit Christus spes mea:
praecedet suos in Galilaeam.

Scimus Christum surrexisse
a mortuis vere:
tu nobis, victor Rex, miserere.
Amen. )
