Who was the man in the linen cloth?

Mark 14:51-52:51And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: 52And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

I believe he was a sign given to Israel that their temporary covering for sin was fixin to be removed to expose their nakedness by Jesus.

John 15:22
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.

Before Jesus came Israel had animal sacrifice for sins, just like Adam and Eve had their nakedness covered by the Lord with a temporary covering of animal skins.

Most commentators believe the young man in the linen cloth was the author himself, St. Mark. They also believe that the linen cloth was what he had worn to bed, but that in his haste to get to the Lord at Gethsemane the next morning, he had not taken time to change.

Thats intersting bro, I cant say myself, but I'll tell ya I cant help but think of these together (in some respect) myself.

Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Mark 14:52 And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

Amos 2:16 And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith the LORD.

Same sort of theme in the wording is all

Job 29:14
I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.

Psalm 132:9
Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

Isaiah 61:10
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

But the wicked shall have their private parts exposed.^_^

That ought to be a sight, I certainly wouldnt want to feast my eyes on any of THAT ^_^

Thats got be a figure to ones heart (not the other) wouldnt it be bro? I mean it could imply by word but they were already naked (even in the garden) and not ashamed of it, wouldnt it imply the heart?

I mean cant it be speaking of the heart verses the genitals here? Or are you just yanking my chain? ^_^ Because both are sorta "privates" and some folks really believe God seeth not their hearts (secret parts) but that is just as naked and bare before Him (just not so open to others) but manifesting hearts and making folks plain to them seems more like what He does.

I sure hope so because I'm just not into peep shows ^_^

You made me think of something that made me laugh, when I first come to the Lord (you know young, everything was outer type thing). I was in awe knowing, wow, God is REAL and how awesome this was. It was all good and amazing untill I had to go to the bathroom, and I knew shutting the door wouldnt matter^_^ I remember apologizing to Him, Im sorry LORD, its how you made us remember? ^_^

I dont even know where my head was then. Ever do a weird thing like that? Like everyday normal stuff (at the first) in the Lord become, ewww, He can see me do that! ^_^

Seeing the heart come a little later on, because I was like, maybe He didnt see that ^_^

We are funny creatures, how pathetic really lol

Jeremiah 49:10
But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.

Gen 3:10 I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

Job 31:33 If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:

Gees theres another picture you can go every which way with, His words are so beautiful, Im glad nothing else will be exposed (just sayin') because I so dont want to see ^_^

^_^ Well when you think of Him as the God in the sky having better things to do then be mindful of you, your sorts like, kool, He's not looking LOL

But then when its like He's left the throne and come into your life (at first) but your still minding things outwardly and carnally I got weirded out (like dont look Lord) or "stay here Lord" (I'll be right back) ^_^

How ridiculous was I?! But it was so true I did that.

(its not proper to"peek") LOL I really tell way too much about my nutiness LOL

Been thinking a bit about this also.

Not sure if there is any connection here but thought I would throw it out here:
The young man Joseph also fled in such a manner from Potiphar’s wife. His garment was caught by her and he left it her hand as he fled out.

Perhaps this is to show how unfaithful Israel was and that Jesus was the suffering servant in like manner as Joseph was. Joseph following Jesus that is.

Who but the Pharisees and Sadducees came to speak and test him day by day as did Potiphar’s wife.

Genesis 39:
10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

Jesus also went into the “house” to do his business – to be tried and crucified. None of the men of the house (the disciples) were there also as they all fled from Jesus when they came and got him.

11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.
12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.
13 And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth,
