We are told in Luke 17:12, that the ten lepers stood a distance from Yeshua while pleading to be cleansed...

Are we are to believe that in this verse in Matthew 26:6 that Yeshua walked into a leper's home with others who were voluntarily present? The stigma of leper was great, so much so, that it was banishment for all those who associated with lepers.

Well, at Mt. 8:3 And Jesus put forth [his] hand, and touched him [the leper], saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

So He had no problem with lepers. He touched them.

Perhaps Simon the leper, though cured previously at Mt. 8:3, was still known as Simon the leper at Mt. 26:6.

We also know Jesus came to heal the sick, touch the diseased, etc. We know He ate with tax collectors and sinners. We know pharisees considered Jesus unclean.

Remember the scene in the movie "Ben Hur" concerning the valley of the lepers and at the end, his sister and mother were cured after the crucifixion of Jesus?

Matthew 10:8 "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

Luke 4:27 "And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian."

The word used for "leper" in Mat. 26:6 is Strong's #3015 "lepros".
The word as defined by Strong's and Vine's simply means a scaley skin condition known as leprosy, or one who has leprosy i.e. a leper.
Interesting.
It is almost similar to the greek word used for scales in Acts 9:18

Young) Acts 9:18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it were scales/lepideV <3013>, he saw again also presently
and having risen, was baptized,

Strong's Concordance with Hebrew and Greek Lexicon

3013. lepis lep-is' from lepo (to peel); a flake:--scale.

3014. lepra lep'-rah from the same as 3013; scaliness, i.e. "leprosy":--leprosy.

3015. lepros lep-ros' from the same as 3014; scaly, i.e. leprous (a leper):--leper.
