Lies and deceit running rampant within the Occupy movement.

Like I said previously in this thread, those on the far Left like these protestors will lie and deceive to further their "cause". Now we have further proof of that behavior - not only has Miss Fox still not filed charges nor provided medical records to support her claims against the police, she's apparently got a very disturbing record - including an attempt to lure two children away from their mother:

Police: 'Pregnant' Occupy protestor tried to lure children - Seattle News - MyNorthwest.com=

In addition, the Occupy Buffalo leader has just been busted for lying about his military service:

Occupy Boston Leader Christopher Simmance Lies About Iraq and Afghanistan Army Service | TheBlaze.com

It's of course no surprise that those in support of the Occupiers and those on the Left will swallow hook, line and sinker anything said by the Occupiers, but what's really been disturbing is the naivety of those that are supposedly neutral in regard to their protests that bought into such stories. Time and again these sort of stories have always been spun within the ranks of such radicals, and time after time they've been debunked.

Take anything said by the Occupy movement with the a healthy dose of salt.

Before you try to look "smart" and link information, you should probably make sure you understand the definition of such terms. ;)

Poisoning the well (or attempting to poison the well) is a rhetorical device where adverse information about a target is pre-emptively presented to an audience, with the intention of discrediting or ridiculing everything that the target person is about to say.

Emphasis mine. ;) Figured it out yet? In addition, you do not seem to comprehend what a fallacy is.

So anyway... by your understanding of "logic", anyone challenging a story on it's merits is simply engaging in logical fallacy and "well poisoning" then?

And Aeneas should probably stop throwing around terms he either doesn't fully grasp, or at the very least is misusing. :)

A woman should have the right to peacefully assemble without threat to her person.
A woman that's pregnant should try to be safer,While she pregnant, that's what I would do.If it was so peaceful, than why were the cops called. If she miscarried it sad,but she risked her baby and self by going.A protestor should know it can be dangerous. Also was the cops pepper spaying and using force on the people around her and she got in the way. This doesn't sound like peaceful protest to.

It's looking more and more as if the woman was simply lying about this story from the beginning:

Except that's not the case.

When someone says "I miscarried because the cops were kicking me" and then we find out the person has a history of lying, it's not poisoning the well, it's alerting people.

Everyone lies. I'm sure there's going to be people within these OWS protests who are looking for personal gain. However, when the premise of some of these protests are built around the lie, then we have a problem.

That's true, though to be honest the only person who has said she has a history of lying is her foster mother, and though the foster family is doing well the woman who claimed she was pregnant is homeless.

There was an anonymous tip given to a certain newspaper about police having had arrested a homeless woman who claimed she was three months pregnant - which happened in September. The woman in question also has three letter family name (based on the cencored part of the police report) as does the one who said she miscarried. If that turns out to having been her, the chances are she was lying either then or now, though.

What is the lie some of the protests are based on? I haven't followed what's been going in every city, has something come up?

True, it's hard to really make an accurate judgment without having all the facts.

What is the lie some of the protests are based on? I haven't followed what's been going in every city, has something come up?

I was not clear in that statement, I realize. My bad. Several of these stories we hear about like the veteran from Iraq who was hit in the head and whatnot all have what we term "sob stories" with them. It makes them somehow more awful than if it was just a regular person who was protesting. Had the Iraq veteran been lyin about his service, his story wouldn't be as interesting as it was. He has been somewhat of a rallying center for protestors. Now, I don't think he's the one they're referring to in the story about someone lying about their service, but I hope you understand the point nonetheless.

Apparently the woman in the police report in question is the same woman that is claiming to have a miscarriage, the woman is saying that she told the cops she was one month pregnant, not three months pregnant in that incident. The foster mom also says that Fox called her from the hospital, but talked about getting her eyes checked due to the pepper spray, but said nothing about being pregnant.
