No this is not a joke, nor a prediction. We're now learning that both Cain and Bialek have been tested without them being aware by very expensive technology that is said to be much more reliable than polygraph tests. This is software used by law enforcement said to be 95% reliable.

Ward said nearly 70 law enforcement agencies nationwide use the voice software, including the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Ward said the technology is a scientific measure that law enforcement use as a tool to tell when someone is lying and that it has a 95 percent success rate.

After listening to Cain's speech and analyzing it, Ward said there is no doubt, Cain is innocent.

"When he directly talks about the allegations against him there is no high risk," said Ward. "It is low risk, which tells me he is being truthful in his conversations to the public."

Investigator: Herman Cain innocent of sexual advances
CBS Atlanta reporting (video)

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Private investigator TJ Ward said presidential hopeful Herman Cain was not lying at a news conference on Tuesday in Phoenix.

Cain denied making any sexual actions towards Sharon Bialek and vowed to take a polygraph test if necessary to prove his innocence.

Cain has not taken a polygraph but Ward said he does have software that does something better.

Ward said the $15,000 software can detect lies in people's voices.

CBS Atlanta's Mike Paluska played Cain's speech for Ward into the software and watched as it analyzed Cain's every word.

If he is hiding something this thing would have spiked way down here," said Ward. "He is being truthful, totally truthful. He is a man with integrity and he talked directly about not knowing any incident he is accused of."

The software analyzes the stress level and other factors in your voice. During the speech, when Cain denied the claims, the lie detector read "low risk." According to Ward, that means Cain is telling the truth.

During the section of Bialek's news conference where she says, "He suddenly reached over put his hand on my leg under my skirt and reached for my genitals he also grabbed my head brought it towards his crotch."

During the analysis of that section the software said "high risk statement." Ward said that means she is not telling the truth about what happened.

"I don't think she is fabricating her meetings," said Ward. But, she is fabricating what transpired."

Ward said nearly 70 law enforcement agencies nationwide use the voice software, including the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Sounds like magic. I don't buy it.

So you the 70 law enforcement agencies all over the nation are using magic?

I thought liberals were believers in science. According to science, this is many times more accurate than a polygraph.

A random person saying he has unnamed software that is really reliable and used by law enforcement feeding soundclips to the software and getting green text saying "Low risk" and "high risk statement" is funny. No, Cain camp isn't behind this, they would have done something better.

Who are theses 70 law enforcement agencies? What is the software called?

If the claims are true, is this unnamed investigator trained and certified to use it?

No, according to an article on the internet it's many times more accurate than a polygraph.

This magic software isn't even named, and I find it very difficult to believe that something could be so accurate with only a simple voice analysis.

Is 70 a lot or very few? If you consider local towns, villages and counties all over the 50 states, I'd say that was very few. How many of have used psychics? - or do you believe that is also science?

I thought liberals were believers in science.
Many are.

According to science, this is many times more accurate than a polygraph.
How do you know what "science" said? Did you personally ask science?

C'mon PeterNY. It's a fluff piece. It's supposed to be funny. Talking about lie detector testing is like bluffing in poker.

Lie detector testing is unreliable. That's why it's not generally used in either civil or criminal trials.

The investigator isn't nameless. His name is TJ Ward.
His website: Investigative Consultants International, Inc.

"That includes the use of Layered Voice Analysis (LVA), the latest scientific breakthrough in gauging truthfulness. He employed LVA during his in-depth investigation into the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, the young Alabama Girl who tragically vanished two years ago in Aruba. "

So, using LVA to get the results and investigating Natalee Holloway with no results. The software is manufactured by a company called Nemesysco.

Nemesysco - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"It has raised controversy about privacy and whether is it scientific or not"

"Layered Voice Analysis (LVA) is claimed by Nemesysco to give an understanding of a subject's mental and emotional state by detecting the "emotional content" of his or her speech when answering questions. LVA is said to identify stress levels, cognitive processes, and emotional reactions. Nemesysco say that it is not a voice stress analysis technology, and instead uses their own unique patented technology to detect "brain activity traces" in a subject's voice via a wide spectrum analysis."

So there's no knowledge of wheter the priciple is scientifically sound, and the company is using their "unique patented technology" which is a secret, naturally.

There's also no indication of any law enforcement agency using it. Some other lie detectors made by the company are used in Russia and Israel though, but that's it.

NightHawk, unfortunately many people like to take these things seriously, which is why Cain was even asked if he would take a lie detector test. All of them are bunk, naturally. And this guy is a nutjob.

Considering how expensive this software is, it's not surprising. 15K according to the PI. But apparently this technology is well respected and indeed to be considered a step up from polygraphs.

But I can see where all the frustration is coming from. This is problematic for the lynching storyline.

You're just mad that Cain now will not have to get hooked up to a bunch of wires and create damaging images. Of course you have no problem with him doing that.

What's ironic is, a liberal brought this issue up, and liberals become practically orgasmic over the idea. But now they're running from lie detection science like it's the plague.

"Well, uh, well, it's not perfectly reliable, yeah. Er uh, so we just can't listen to this story. What? Oh yeah, I do want him to take a polygraph, but that's different, er, i think?...."

Any idea how liberals would have reacted had this yielded different results?

LOL ... yep

... and that's the problem with lie detectors ... not 100% definitive.

Hence, if your side gets the wrong answer, simply disavow the test. I'm impressed that the Cain camp got ahead of the curve on this one. ;) That explains his immediate answer to the obvious gotcha question from the CBS news reporter.

In a real quantifiable sense though, "lie detector" results are more objectively reliable than unsubstantiated accusations.

$15K is extremely cheap for software used in Public Safety. Software that makes claims like this one does would be commanding a much higher premium, and if it works they would get it.

For its uses and applications, it's very expensive. Not to mention very new.

And you're missing the point. You guys wanted him to take a lie detector test. Now he has. And you got the bonus of your star witness taking one. Now you have to live with it. ;)
