Please provide all examples of the volatile WoC saga in one convenient location to streamline a counter offensive strategy. Two of my personal favorites:

Using a dark skinned baby doll for the nativity scene.

Asking a town to turn off Christmas lights between the hours of midnight and 6am to conserve energy.

*We have the decorations, parties, consumer orgies, and holiday meals perfected but we keep missing Christ.

My favorite is the insistence that retail workers are not allowed to say "Merry Christmas" to customers. We are allowed to say whatever we want per corporate policy, but seeing as I have been cursed at for saying both "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays" I usually just tell people to have a nice day unless they say something first. I'd rather not deal with the nastiness.

Second runner up is the argument that "Xmas" is taking Christ out of Christmas. Using "X" as an abbreviation is a very ancient Christian tradition (ex: ICXC NIKA). Screaming about that just makes people look uneducated.

What I love is how some Christians seem to think that the birth of Jesus is a high holy day while completely disregarding the real one: his rebirth at Easter.

I don't hear the same folks protesting that Walmart is perverting Easter by sell chocolate bunnies (not to mention Peeps!).

Look, don't bring the peeps into this. They never harmed anyone (except everyone with diabetes from eating too many peeps).

You're wrong! They are clearly in the secular/pagan forefront of the War on Easter. Them and those Cadbury bunnies.

It's worse than I had thought!!! Peeps are also in on the War on Christmas. Witness their "Holiday Cake" (not Christmas Cake!), their so-called "Holiday Wreath" (not Christmas Wreath!) and "Holiday Cupcakes" (not Christmas Cupcakes!)!!!!!!

At least they got the proper red and green Christmas colors right (none of that Jewish blue and silver crap).

Am I participating in teh war by mentioning that the exact date of Christ's birth is unknown, but there is enough in Scripture to show it is not close to December 25th?

Hadn't heard that one.

But I do like Seinfeld's Festivus. For the rest of us.

And we can't forget its symbol, the cheery Festivus pole:

Thanks. My sweet tooth just jumped out of my mouth and went to the store without me.
