I work in a restaurant where the business fluctuates at different times of the year. We have a lot of seasonal residents in Florida who escape the cold in the north and make their winter home here. Consequently, we have a very busy few months during winter. At that time my boss warned me how terribly slow it gets in the summer. Though I know that is the natural way of things here, I know something else - The Blessing is on me because of Jesus, and summer would be different this year.

The seasonal residents went back north during April, and May was not too bad, and June has been pretty good. What's more, I overheard my boss telling someone yesterday this summer has been good.

Yess! I knew it! The Blessing is on me, and the place where I work is blessed too. :clap:

Just as we've been taught, The Blessing follows us. This is nothing new. It was on Joseph. Potiphar's house was blessed because of Joseph. Well, I have that same anointing!

See, I work as a software developer/engineer. An hour ago, I accidentally brought one testing environment down - including various corporate financial systems. I started stressing badly, because the problem affected people both locally, as well as in other countries. So, I begged the Lord to help me. The solution came to me, step by step - and it's all fixed. Praise the Lord!

That next day, I was surprised, and quite upset at hearing the same noise. Still, steadfastly refusing to believe the enemy's lies about my faith, I spoke silence over all those insects in the region, into eternity, in the name of our Lord - with a passionate boldness that I never knew I had. That settled it, and they were silenced permanently. Even several years later, when we returned, there were not a single one anywhere to be heard. That was such an awesome lesson - I'll never forget how it awakened the reality of faith in me. Glory to God!

I'm also a firm believer in the teaching that if we seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then everything we need in this life would be added unto us.

A few years ago, while driving home from work, it rained heavily - and the traffic was backed up heavily. So, after waiting a while in the traffic, I spotted a dirt road, that seemed like a viable alternative. What I failed to notice, was a pothole - nicely covered with rain water. So, I hit it, and a jarring shock shook my car. I noticed that the steering wheel was now locked - and realized that something must have been damaged. I cried out to the Lord to help me. The next moment, I felt a change, and suddenly, the steering wheel could move freely - as before. I made it all the way home, and took the car for repairs the next day. Only after getting back home the next day, after the car's broken CV joint was replaced, did I see a ball-bearing that fell out, right in the driveway. It's truly a miracle that I made it all the way home, with a broken CV joint.

I remember a testimony of a missionary that made my heart glow:

This missionary was somewhere in Africa, doing his utmost to get members of a tribe to accept Christ. They steadfastly refused, till one day, when he decided to pack up and leave for ears who are willing to hear. An angel told him in a dream to hang on, which he did. So, that same day, members of the tribe come to him, and tell him about a calf that was taken by a leopard, as they were getting ready to go look for it. The missionary asked if he could come along, and they agreed. So, as they searched through the bush, they saw the leopard, busy eating at the calf. So, the next moment, the leopard jumps from the tree and the tribe members scatter in all directions - leaving the missionary behind. As these tribe members watch from between the bushes, they anticipate the missionary getting killed.

But God had other plans. The next moment, the missionary turns to run - but suddenly feels an incredible kind of strength well up in him. So, he turns around and kills the beast with his bare hands. As the tribe members run to him to congratulate him, he tells them that what they saw was thanks to the strength that his God gave him. They were converted.

I went to the dentist, and when I first arrived the receptionist had me update information on me for them. You know that list you check off - yes or no - Do you have ............ and then follows a whole slew of ailments. Then you're asked what medications you're on and what allergies do you have.

Everything was a 'no'!

Thanks to Jesus!

I'm 52 and have no diseases, take no medications, and have no allergies!!!

I realized what a great testimony that is!

Gods word never fails. I was facing huge debt in my business due to someones deliberate actions. I continued to tithe and sow seeds. I remembered his word and quoted verse in prayer. I prayed for those who worked this evil and forgave them. Then I started to receive bless god. People gave me favor in business with out even shopping they just started buying. I am getting caught up quickly and soon will be back to black. Theirs no amounts to big for God's favor. Praise and glory to the lamb of God. I. Will sing of his mercy forever amen.

I rejoice in this with you! I also want to thank you for sharing this with us because my husband and I were taken advantage of about 4 years ago in a business deal. I have been doing the things you've done - forgiven the persons, prayed for them much, and sowed seeds. I fully trust the Lord to do what He says, and that is to make me a blessing. I have been made the head and not the tail, and my debts have been removed through Jesus. I call things that be not as though they were. Anyway, because you have shared this here with the wonderful outcome as it is transpiring, I am able to take this to my husband who at times still struggles with this issue.

A few years ago I lost a hubcap off my truck.

I retired and the first year we traveled to Montana with the fifth wheel. Stayed in an RV Park there.

While I was there kept noticing that missing hubcap. So prayed the prayer of faith believing I received it. Didn't pray for it again, but I thanked God when ever I thought about it or saw the wheel with the missing hubcap.

About three weeks or so after I prayed some of the guys there at the park stopped by and told me they had been riding four wheels up in the mountains and found a hubcap that belonged to a Dodge truck. They had noticed mine was missing and wondered if I wanted it.

I said sure, thanked them and took the hubcap. I noticed it was for a Dodge but it was not exactly the same as mine. I put it on the truck and would continue to thank God for my hubcap whenever I thought about it or saw the wheel with the wrong hubcap.

About a week later a guy stopped by and said he was talking to his friends, the ones who had brought me the hubcap, and they told him about the hubcap they had found and had given to me.

He said that he had found a hubcap that was like mine and the one I had was like his. Wanted to know if I would like to trade.

I said sure, took the hubcap off my truck, gave it to him, he gave me the hubcap that matched my truck. I put the hubcap on smiling all the time.

Knowing the little things God will do for us shows His great Love for us.

Yes god will give us our desires as well. Even if we wouldn't expect things that would seem common to others. I went fishing alone late one night in walking on the pier god spoke to my heart. He told me I was going to catch the tarpon of my life. I did it was a huge fish jumping out of the water all alone god me and a big fish. That night it felt like a father and son together. He even showed me about their feeding habits things that professional fishermen wouldn't know. Our God cares for us beyond what we might think, he cares about our joy. I learned a far more important lesson than fishing that night. I learned about Gods love. Glory to God.

For the past few months, my hubby & I have been having some "issues." He is having some memory problems.. and some judgement issues as well..

And I have been having "control" issues.. trying to get it on back on track & have been very frustrated when that does not happen.

So God has been giving me some pointers.. *smile*

One time I went into the pharmacy for a prescription & at the counter was a book.. Fear Not by Max Lucado.. bought it..

One day I was in my driveway on the way to work. I looked up into the sky.. and there was 1 cloud in the sky.. a vertical one.. in the shape of a column.. like a tornado cloud.. I followed it the 7 miles to the parking lot of my job.. got out of the car for a closer look. It was gone.. "Cloud by Day.." Now I'm looking for a "Fire by Night"..

Was calm for a bit.. then a day or 2 later, I was fretting again..

Then at church a week and a half ago, a friend came to me and talked. then said she had to go pray for someone.. then she said oh.. but I have to pray for you first..

She said God said,
You have done all you can about this situation.. your job now is to continue to praise & worship ME.. I will take care of the rest..

& I believe Him.. Amen!

Amen!! Yes...sometimes it is like the old story picture of us asking God to "fix" our problem, so God says "give it to Me." We hand it to God, but when He reaches to take it from us, we simply won't let go of our side. So God says "give it to Me." We say, "Yes, Father," and we hand it to Him but we simply don't let up on our grasp of it.

God can't (won't?) fix it if we keep dominion over it. Sometimes (usually!!!) we just need to let it go......and rest in Him.

I will praise and worship with you that God has full control of it. :clap:

Oh, Glenda! You have been on my heart these past few days, I thought just because I have missed you, and I have. But now I see there is more to this, that the Lord had brought you to mind.

I will be praying. This is not easy, not without Jesus. But you are not alone. I am certain He will continue to lead you, speak to you, and counsel you all along the way concerning your relationship with your husband.

Don't tell me we can't make strong intimate and caring relationships through the internet! I'm amazed after not talking to you for months, or years? that you came on my heart so strongly the other day. I almost pm'ed you. Today I came on only to answer 1 of 5-6 pm's. That's all. Just as I was about to leave the Lord nudged me to come to this thread. Amazing! As is all the Lord does!

Thanks, Bob.. You are so right.. I often picture my problems as "helium balloons" and I let them float up to God, but at the last second, I feel a tug on my wrist. Then I see the ribbon I have tied on my wrist as I pull them back. That's when I need to cut the strings with my spiritual scissors.. and let them go to God..

Cindy, It has seen a long time since I've been here, but God has been prompting me to send more time here.. I came in to post in the Bible verse threads.. and came here to see if you were still posting.. and saw this thread.. and wanted to post about how God has been sustaining me through this difficult time..

I'm delighted you're here.. I've missed you & often wondered how you were..

God never ceases to amaze me.. His timing is Perfect..

It has been a difficult time for me too. Seems like the pressure is on all the Body. I have to say too that it is the most glorious time I've ever had. Quick and mighty answers to prayer, joy unspeakable, and great power rising up within.

I'm glad you're back. Looking forward to seeing you more.

I do not post as much now. My schedule is full - day and night. A challenge just to know how to do everything. I can say, the Lord is showing me just how to meet that challenge.
