Too numerous for a part-time poster like myself to go into but the major one in that. The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints" is just that Christ's church restored on the earth.
But God told me that it is not His church. Should we trust God or man?
Also neither the Bible nor the official canon of "The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints" should be considered all of God's words to man.
The purpose of God's teaching is to reveal His will for us:
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Does the Bible tell us how to have eternal life?
What other "revelations" do people need?
Amos 3:7
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets
Do the prophets give us eternal life or does Christ? Did the prophets point us to Christ? Do we need more than Christ?
"Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else."
Isaiah 45:22
"Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me."
Hosea 13:4
If someone is following God/Christ, why should he convert to Mormonism?
"And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and
searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."
Acts 17:10-11
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
1 John 5
I
know that I have eternal life.
