Mt 15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man

That's right, He was not talking about clean or unclean meat.
Good one.

The question from the OP does not make any sense anyway.
All FOOD is clean.
What he means most likely is, did Paul some how make unclean meat clean and the answer is NO.

I just read the headline... Sorry:sorry:

Maybe some food is impure in that its not healthy, but its not sin to eat it, but it may be wise not to eat it. I think its interesting that God gave laws to the Jews that protected them from germs way before we knew about germs.

It is always sin to disobey God.

We need the apostles to teach us what is obeying and disobeying God. For instance, should we obey sacrificial laws? No because that would fly in the face of grace and turn it on its head. Romans 14 doesn't seem to indicate Sabbath as Gods will for Gentiles, not that i'm against Sabbath or think that observing it will void someones faith, just that Gods will is seen in other things according to the Apostles.

Could be. But I had heard poultry is just as bad if not worse.
Does J.O. not eat pork because it is unhealthy or that it is a sin?

Joel Osteen claims the OT dietary laws are still binding in the NT.

Joel Osteen, the Evangelical Pastor of the largest Mega Church in North America, has exploded the popular Evangelical view that the dietary laws were done away with at the cross. He basically, takes the position that SDAs have had for over 100 years. You have to admire his courage for preaching this sermon in Houston, Texas, one of the most carnivorous cities in the North America.

Did Paul declare all foods clean?

Blue Letter Bible - Lexicon
Strong's Number G1033 matches the Greek βρῶμα (brōma), which occurs 17 times in 15 verses in the Greek concordance of the KJV

YoungLT]Romans 14:14 I have known and am persuaded in Lord Jesus that nothing unclean thru himself, except to the one accounting any being-unclean/koinon <2839> to be, to that one being-unclean/koinon <2839>.
[Genesis 9:33]
15 and if through victuals/brwma <1033> thy brother is grieved, no more dost thou walk according to love; do not with thy victuals destroy that one for whom Christ died.
16 Let not, then, your good be evil spoken of,
17 for the reign of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit;

1033. broma bro'-mah from the base of 977; food (literally or figuratively), especially (ceremonially) articles allowed or forbidden by the Jewish law:--meat, victuals.

ALL foods are clean. However, if someone believes they are not, do not flaunt it and eat it in front of them, for to do so is not love, but the opposite of love. (Reminds me of the word "gracious" and how we must e so, for if we are not, then we are just bein' ig'nant....and that ain't nice....we are bein' reminded not to be ig'nant here.

Everythings on the menu, but there are some things I will NOT eat.
Like anything bigger than my head for instance.
And nowadays with all the pollution in the environment, i prefer to eat things that have a protective chocolate coating.

So why would someone be examining my food that closely? If you can't eat certian things don't go where they serve them if it offends you. It you see others eating the things you say you can't and note it you may lusting after that or condemning others for doing so. Condemning isn't the way to reach someone. You sin yourself by being in that situation.

Great excuse for new clothes. That stuff is known to change clothing size requirements.

Rom 14, and 1 cor 8 were about new converts.:)
