I have doing a lot of thinking and praying over the past few months about my being here on CF. No single event or incident is causing this....just some things that have caused me to think a little.

A new chapter in my life has begun, and it's time for me to move on. I have a new grandbaby on the way, and I'm involved with a Christian ministry to children called Compassion International.

Over the past 2 1/2 years my husband and I have gone through some tough things with losing our home to bankruptcy, being swindled etc....(I'm not here to go into all that). Well - over the past few months, God has richly blessed my husband and I. My hubby now has a manager position for a large business. We were not expecting this at all.

When we were going through our tough times, God placed very wonderful people in our path. The blessings were beyond amazing. God was and is always faithful. I, in turn, want to help others and am working with bringing the gospel to and improving conditions for kids in other countries. Some kids I sponsor and others I correspond with who have other sponsors who can't write to them for some reason.

None of these kids know that I am Lutheran, let alone WELS. I just talk about Jesus and His saving Grace. I do have one child that I've been writing to for a year who is ELCA.....and don't fear, I never try to convince him of anything. This little fellow lives in Kenya, and is one of 8 children living with his grandmother.

Some may wonder why I don't act like this here. Well, I just think adults should know better and be able to believe like little children do, and just trust what the bible says. I understand that any ministry I may have had here is over. I'm not bitter or feeling bad for myself....I'm just moving on.

Anyway - writing to children takes a lot of my time. I need to devote that time to the kids and not scraping with you guys here. Some, I will be staying friends with on fb and in emails. I've been here for 5 years after all. I may come back to show you a picture of my grandbaby in December. :)

I pray God's blessings on each and everyone here. I'd like to close with this - please take God's word as it's written. It's the Lord's love letter to us all.

Take care everybody.

See you around, Seajoy. May the Word of God continue to dwell in you richly.

FWIW, I'll be starting nursing school here in a few days and will probably not be around much either. I don't know if it will be a permanent hiatus, but I plan on actively staying away for a while.

God's peace to you all.

Well, all the best in where you feel led. There's a song at the end of CARS that kind of sums up how I look at things. One verse says it well (bridge and refrain),

"Well you go through life, so sure of where you're headed.
and you wind up lost... and it's the best thing that could've happened!
'Cause sometimes when you lose your way it's really just as well...
'Cause you find yourself... Yeah... that's when you find yourself!"

I'd kind of modify that to "Cause, you find your way... Yeah... that's when you find your way!"

>>> many thanks to Mr. Brad Paisley for his song Find Yourself. <<<<

Angie, sometimes it seems that disaster has struck us and we find ourselves in straights that just leave us wondering why we're there (sometimes we wonder where God himself has got off to). Often we can look back and see that it was simply a turningpoint to a new and better beginning. I do hope and pray that this is what has happened to you and your husband. I pray that our gracious Lord used the recent past circumstances to move the both of you into position for something much better that he had in mind for you. God bless and keep you both.:crossrc:
