I have doing a lot of thinking and praying over the past few months about my being here on CF. No single event or incident is causing this....just some things that have caused me to think a little.
A new chapter in my life has begun, and it's time for me to move on. I have a new grandbaby on the way, and I'm involved with a Christian ministry to children called Compassion International.
Over the past 2 1/2 years my husband and I have gone through some tough things with losing our home to bankruptcy, being swindled etc....(I'm not here to go into all that). Well - over the past few months, God has richly blessed my husband and I. My hubby now has a manager position for a large business. We were not expecting this at all.
When we were going through our tough times, God placed very wonderful people in our path. The blessings were beyond amazing. God was and is always faithful. I, in turn, want to help others and am working with bringing the gospel to and improving conditions for kids in other countries. Some kids I sponsor and others I correspond with who have other sponsors who can't write to them for some reason.
None of these kids know that I am Lutheran, let alone WELS. I just talk about Jesus and His saving Grace. I do have one child that I've been writing to for a year who is ELCA.....and don't fear, I never try to convince him of anything. This little fellow lives in Kenya, and is one of 8 children living with his grandmother.
Some may wonder why I don't act like this here. Well, I just think adults should know better and be able to believe like little children do, and just trust what the bible says. I understand that any ministry I may have had here is over. I'm not bitter or feeling bad for myself....I'm just moving on.
Anyway - writing to children takes a lot of my time. I need to devote that time to the kids and not scraping with you guys here. Some, I will be staying friends with on fb and in emails. I've been here for 5 years after all. I may come back to show you a picture of my grandbaby in December.
I pray God's blessings on each and everyone here. I'd like to close with this - please take God's word as it's written. It's the Lord's love letter to us all.
Take care everybody.
