Thank you. One step closer this morning: We got pre-approved for the loan!!! :D Thank you, Jesus. :prayer: I grew up dirt poor, never been even close to middle-class in my life, and this would be the first house I've ever owned. I have no credit at all, but Mike's is good, so that did it for us.

For me to go from where I used to be, on disability in slummy subsidized housing, to suburban home ownership in the space of five years is a miracle.

We haven't said a word to either of my daughters, because if this goes through the way we want it to, we want to give one of them the mobile home we own now. Probably the older one. The younger one has lived here with us before, and like me, the location trips her allergies.
