The recent chumming up between Obama and France over going around Israel and recognizing the Palestinian state could be the stepping stone to this end. I think that the end of Dan. chapter 11 maybe the time period we're now entering into. Which takes us to The beginning of Dan. chapter 12 which is likely describing the beginning of the last 3 & 1/2 years of the great tribulation.

Also i believe that sometime near the end of this year,(2011) that World War 3 will be in full affect, and that sometime in the first half of 2012 the American dollar will collapse!When the domino effect of this happens it will catapult the entire world into the great tribulation!

At this point I fear though that the resulting stupor caused from the binge spending would likely be fatal.


The situation is very simple really ... little different from a max'ed out credit card. We've already become a nation of "indentured servants". It will take at least a dozen years to pay off the debt if we quit borrowing today. The fundamental question now is whether we are going to start paying off the debt or are we going to put the nation into permanent servitude.

I'm with Mike Lee, Michele Bachmann and a few others who voice sanity despite the ongoing circus.

Not that it really matter much, but i am stuck in an adjustable mortgage. Should the debt ceiling not be raised, interest rates will skyrocket, along with my monthly payment.


I don't see either side allowing for this to happen. Do we who back the tea party or the far right even consider if grandma's SSI check is slashed, even by 5%. If she has a mortgage on her 2br home, which she conservatively bought when grandpa died, her 1300/mo would become 1240/mo. Granny could have trouble maintaining her own payments.

What is our largest chunk of spending. Entitlements..... which SSI, SSD, and Medicare are largest part. Those are NOT entitlement though. As granny and grandpa PAID for their share for maybe 50 yrs.

The second largest........Defense.

When I was in the service, I got 1240/mo base. Plus rations. So I was bringing in about 1440 mo. Not bad for a 22 yo kid.
These days the average E4 with 4 yrs is making almost 2500/mo. That's not including housing or room and board.

Military pay has gone up over 35% over the last 15yrs. Not that they don't deserve it, hell, I thought I did, but my dad enlisted for just 63/mo and earned as much as 101/mo. He went to Nam so he got a stipend for that, but all in all, he never earned more than 135/mo during his 3 yrs. So in those 30yrs between his enlistment and mine, the pay was increased 1000%.


I guess in 15 yrs the govt will figure these kids are worth 5K/mo.

Oh, and BTW......
When I enlisted, was "allowed" to live off base.... I could scrounge up enough to rent an apt for around 400/mo.

These 22 y/os today are getting 160K houses in gated subdivisions.

Eliminate the debt ceiling? Well, we could and then our walk through Never, Never Land would be complete. Our promise to pay for college, health care, food and shelter, unemployment for the rest of what should be your working life until you reach retirement age when SS would kick in.....could easily be fulfilled or...if employed....retirement packages that allow us to retire at 50 while still padding bank accounts...before long, we could all just stay at home, which, in this utopian dream, is paid for by the government, watching television, powered by electricity paid for by the government (which is a good thing because it saves on the gasolene it would take for us to go to work each day), and that would save the ozone layer and polar bears.....as we communicate on computers also paid for by the government (although they have to be purchased from China). Who knows, perhaps they could even furnish a chef to prepare our meals.

All of that could be paid for by taxing the rich. Dirty, rotten scoundrels that they are. Of course, by that time there won't be any rich or any chance of anyone else becoming wealthy...unless you are a disgraced congressman. They're (plural) assured of a healthy future.
