Here's a brief update for you all.
First, Michelina has been moved back into the ICU. I don't know why yet because I am on the sidelines with the family in the midst of a legal battle over who is the medical proxy.
We do know, however, that it seems that she has cognitive improvement, because of how she is able to focus, to squeeze hands and make eye contact on demand. She reacts to certain people in particular, like her sister and a few other people she knows well.
The situation is still very grave; if she suffers another heart attack, there is practically no way she can be saved; to resuscitate her would break her ribs, and cause her great pain. Over and above this, she has always suffered, since she came back from Rome several years ago, from a pulmonary condition which makes her very susceptible to infection.
I am still praying too. I am going to see the family again tomorrow and will personally visit her in the hospital on Saturday. I will make mention of all your prayers, don't worry!
