Alright, now I'm ready to contribute to this thread... first of all your question of the F-15-ish looking plane... I'm almost willing to bet my left kidney that it is NOT the Sukhoi but actually, you guessed it, an F-15. But, a NASA F-15 with canards (wing in front of main wing) (BTW, the canards are elevons from an F/A-18 Hornet)

Great videos here, by the way! It's been SUCH a long time since I have visited CF.

Here is a video I recently put together. It is a simple collection of photographs I have taken at my local airport over the last couple of years. Between two museums located literally, across the runway from each other, there are 17 regularly flying WWII fighters and bombers. Everything from a 1918 Curtiss JN-4D Jenny to a 1946 Grumman Bearcat, and even two B-25 Mitchells. And we have a DC-3 enroute.

Enjoy!

The Russians went so far as to copy the "Boeing" name on the rudder pedals! "What co-py. Ess original Sove-yet design."

B-29s weren't the only thing they ever copied from us. Here is the "Fat Man" uranium atomic bomb we dropped on Hiroshima:

And here is their "Joe 1" bomb, a nearly exact carbon copy (it used plutonium instead of uranium):

They did the same with our hydrogen bombs.

Although they certainly copied plenty of our weapons, 1st generation Soviet thermonukes were independent designs. The Soviet Joe-4 was the first deliverable H-bomb in the world...though one could argue that it wasn't a "true" hydrogen bomb, 400kt isn't exactly a toy either. At any rate it was not a Teller-Ulam design, which is what the US was experimenting with at that time.
