Osas Is It A Fable?
You who believe in OSAS I use to believe it also, one day I got tried of the pre-tribulation rapture VS. tribulation rapture.... I found that NOT ONE PERSON WHO BELIEVES IN THE PRE-TRIB RAPTURE HAS ANY PROOF yes this is a challenge to anyone.... I also found that OSAS was a LIE also. I have been accused of twisting scripture (robertz) so I will put down verses which say OSAS is a false teaching.... Now I will tell you WHY the lie... see I had once fallen back into the world after being saved.... I thought well Im OSAS so even if I dont read my bible or pray or tell anyone about CHRIST... I just wont have as many crowns of power or whatever BUT ILL STILL BE IN HEAVEN.... and the devil says: SWEET!!!!!! now you are dead and null in the contending for the faith and the DEVIL loves this OSAS lie... its easy to be taught something an given some scripture that fit your view, BUT I say find where I have twisted this and show me FROM THE WORD and not with traditions of mens sayings such as: this is the story of Gods adoption process and if you adopt and child and he leaves he's still your child.... this is mans saying he came up with to give more creedance to his lies..... error begets error, truth and truth = truth error and error = error and likewise truth and error = error... error in scripture bleeds into other scirpture making them error also..... if you believe in OSAS and have never gathered the scriptures on your own and did it the way they said what it says.... then you ofcourse have not come up with scripture which goes against your views.... the devil hates this, and your teachers learned the same way you have = traditions of men...and yet while no one can say where it is that I twist the word, you seem to ignore what I say as if its not in your bible too! if you cant dismiss these then YOU AND YOU ALONE WHO WILL STAND ALONE BEFORE CHRIST had better find out why this is .. GOD expects you to STUDY TO SHOW YOURSELF APPROVED TO GOD... A WORKER NOT TO BE ASHAMED RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD...- this means through study of the word you become a GOOD WORKER who doesnt need GOD to hold your hand... and STRIVES TO UNDERSTAND THE TRUTH as it is not as someone told you it is.... SO here it goes... you can do whatever it is you think best....

if you ignore then the blind will lead the blind and BOTH will fall into the pit, as I can do NO MORE THAN GIVE SCRIPTURE and if you can argue against that then Ive done all I could.....

ROMANS 11:19-22
(19) Thou will say the branches were broken off (jews during exodus - see also HEB4:1-11 that I might be grafted in (gentiles). (20) because of unbelief they (jews) were broken off, be not high minded but in fear(gentiles) (21) for if GOD sparred not the natural branches (jews) TAKE HEED LEST HE (GOD) also spare they not (22) behold (listen up) therefore the severity of GOD on them which FELL but goodness toward thee (who havent) (heb10:38 if anyone draws back MY SOUL has no pleassure in thee) GOODNESS IF THOU CONTINUE (WHAT?) OTHERWISE THOU ALSO SHALT BE CUT OFF.

1. Only believers are GRAFTED INTO CHRIST who is the vine.... you can do nothing apart from HIM.... unbelievers arent grafted into GODS family...
2. you who are grafted in CAN ALSO NOT BE SPARRED - unbelievers already are not sparred....
3. CONTINUE.... in GODS will.... if you fall away what might happen? GOD WILL CUT YOU OFF... the parable of the master who wants the tree cut down because it produces NO FRUIT - and the vinedress says give it one more year and Ill dig around it and if it DOES NOT PRODUCE THEN INTO THE FIRE IT SHALL GO... unbelievers produce no fruit that the MASTER (jesus) accepts.... therefore this is a believer who has fallen away and is producing NO FRUIT and will be those who cry LORD LORD DID I NOT etc etc etc in your name and CHRIST WILL ANSWER AWAY I NEVER KNEW YOU
WHICH THEN BLEEDS INTO THE 10 VIRGINS: who are all virgins and there is no diffrence between them, these are all SAVED AND VIRGINS TO CHRIST and all 10 are looking for christ's return and when HE is delayed (the pre-trib rapture doesnt happen) they then loose hope and fall away and NOW BECOME 5 and 5..... (falling away 2 THESS 2:3) and then when the rapture does happen they were caught by a THIEF IN THE NIGHT JESUS.... (contray to popular belief the thief in the night is to BELIEVERS not unbelievers....who are ALREADY caught and are not looking in the first place, thats why this is 10 become 5 an 5, its these 5 unwise who are then caught offguard.... (unbelievers were never looking to be caught offguard in first place, but they too are caught....) these 10 ARE LOOKING. only believers are looking... they missed the rapture but they are still called virgins why? cause they are still SAVED.... they can now if they havent accepted the mark (graven image) simply repent but will be left to face the rest of the tribulation.... REV 14:13. this will include those broken branches who accept during the preaching of the 144,000 form 12 tribes)

THE good and faithful servant... as I have shown there are 3 who are mentioned not 2 (believers unbelievers) how can this be? how is it you simply have passed over this verse and not caught it? thought about it?

its simply in LUKE 12 42-48 THE FIRST ONE IS CAUGHT DOING GODS WILL.
THE FIRST ALSO CAN DECIDE TO BEAT AND DRINK, WHEN? WHEN THE MASTER IS DELAYED (only to pretrib rapture believers will he be delayed) this ofcourse brings the scoffers from 2 peter2:2-3 saying :wheres the promise of HIS coming?) and so he falls away like the 5 unwise virgins and THEN THE RAPTURE HAPPENS and he is CAUGHT OFFGUARD BY THE THIEF IN THE NITE JESUS..... and NOW he is cut to peices and NOW he is appointed his with the unbelievers...... this ofcourse is the same thing as the 2 peter2:20 that once they have been made clean by escaping the pollutions of this world THROUGH OUR LORD (AND WHAT) SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST and then to once again fall back (notice fall back not OVERCOME) and then OVERCOME HE IS WORST OFF THAT AT THE BEGINING WHEN HE WAS (UNSAVED)
AND THE FAITHFUL SERVANT GOT REWARDED WITH CARE OVER THE MASTER HOUSE AND THINGS.... BUT THERE ARE STILL 2 OTHERS TO BE DELT WITH...

THE ONE WHO KNEW BETTER - BELIEVER WHO FELL AWAY GET MANY STRIPES AND THE UNBELIEVERS WHO DIDNT KNOW BETTER GETS FEW STRIPES... in otherwords its worst for the FALLEN believer than for the one who was never saved...

AGAIN 1TIM4:1 says: the HOLY SPIRIT says in the last days some shall depart from the faith given heed to DOCTRINES OF DEVILS

only believers can have faith. therefore only believers can fall. the HOLY SPIRIT says it because HE is the one who will be departed from..
unbelievers cant have faith because faith comes though grace and thats a believer then.... THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS: CLOSE TO SAVING FAITH OR KNOWING THE TRUTH APART FROM THE HOLY SPIRITS INDWELLING YOU. this is why CHRIST ask the FATHER to forgive them for they know not what they do... during cruifixtion, yet the romans knew they were in great pain killing JESUS, but since they werent saved they werent viewed as knowing the truth.... these are those who get :few stripes:

I will have to add more later but SHOW ME WHERE I HAVE TWISTED ANY OF THIS.....

As strong of an issue I pushed, of osas, a Calvanistic approach that those who fall away were never part of those who truly believed (1 John 2:19) in the first place, and the promise to those who are born again (1 John 5:4), honestly I grapple with it. I wonder if much that we don't understand may be the verb tenses applied to phrases like in 1 John 3:6, for the verb "sins". Some could argue by the original tenses "sins" in 1 John 2:1 have a different meaning than the "sins" in 1 John 3:6.

1 John 2:1
...And if any one sins,....

1 John 3:6
No one who abides in Him sins...

So I pushed my understanding that there is indeed a difference between the two and pretty much got a stalemate. Even in my own heart. My conclusion is to trust God in a verse like 1 John 5:4

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world...

but NEVER take disobedience lightly, as the chastisement of the Lord may be the closest thing to hell here on earth (Lamentations 3:18):

So I say, "My strength has perished, And so has my hope from the Lord."

although 3 verses later the writer of Lamentations correctly assumes there is hope.

One more thing, I guess that keeps me on the osas thought-line is that the Isrealites were most sinful. They did everything under the sun that could be called evil. An example of what we could become if we hardened our hearts and backslid to God. But God restored the Isrealites, although it created Pharisee like people. But the drunks and prostitutes and tax collectors saw the kingdom of God thru Christ after He was born of Mary before any of the self-righteous did.

And the book of Hebrews says if this could happen in the OT, what more mercy and grace is thru Jesus Christ. Jesus' biggest battles were over people who were obedient, self righteous and felt out of fear that they couldn't be free to waddle like a new calf, and not be afraid to fall into a loving Father's hands. Sometimes they fell unwillingly. Jesus would pick you back up. Sometimes the calves were tired and stubborn and wanted to fall! Christ would carry them.

Christ died for our ultimate freedom to be who we are and come to Him 'just as I am' in front of the Father - self-righteous, down on ourselves, stubborn, humble, - the sinner that we are.. to live according to Romans 8:1

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

So let's rest in that faith.

As strong of an issue I pushed, of osas, a Calvanistic approach that those who fall away were never part of those who truly believed

CALVIN IS WRONG john macaruther teaches this, the LORDSHIP SALVATION, this is that if you ever fall away you were never saved... this false teaching leads to "well i might fall away ten years from now so I might not even be saved...... this is not what I say ( not sure if thats what you were saying)

1 John 3:6
No one who abides in Him sins...

So I pushed my understanding that there is indeed a difference between the two and pretty much got a stalemate. Even in my own heart. My conclusion is to trust God in a verse like 1 John 5:4

IF YOU go to 3:3 it says we are purifieth ourselfs to be as HE is. when we sin we are not abiding is CHRIST... we know it cant mean if you sin your not saved, but if you sin like before when you were an unbeliever then you are not (abiding) in christ...

One more thing, I guess that keeps me on the osas thought-line is that the Isrealites were most sinful. They did everything under the sun that could be called evil. An example of what we could become if we hardened our hearts and backslid to God. But God restored the Isrealites,

YES, BUT he restored the remnet of thy people thats why the 40 yrs.... if your talking this part.... remember some the earth opened and swallowed up..
and if they did not repent, they did not find eternal life.. thats why they wondered the desert forty years and died their in unbelief which is why we were grafted in - if your talking about the exodus ones..

And the book of Hebrews says if this could happen in the OT, what more mercy and grace is thru Jesus Christ. Jesus' biggest battles were over people who were obedient, self righteous

CHRIST has no problem with obedient people

and felt out of fear that they couldn't be free to waddle like a new calf, and not be afraid to fall into a loving Father's hands. Sometimes they fell unwillingly. Jesus would pick you back up. Sometimes the calves were tired and stubborn and wanted to fall! Christ would carry them.

IF you read the parable of the lost sheep you will notice CHRIST does look for you, but unlike you the 4 legged lamb is FORCED back home and CHRIST does not force - CHRIST is only showing that HE went to find and you came back - see prodicals son how he LIVES AGAIN HE WAS DEAD AND LIVES AGAIN = HE WAS SAVED, LEFT THE FATHER(WAS DEAD) AND NOW LIVES (AGAIN) MEANING HE LIVED BEFORE HE LEFT, ONCE HE LEFT HE WAS DEAD AND THEN WHEN HE REPENTED HE LIVED AGAIN... WAS HE WAS DEAD HE WAS DEAD TO CHRIST.....

Christ died for our ultimate freedom to be who we are and come to Him 'just as I am' in front of the Father - self-righteous, down on ourselves, stubborn, humble, - the sinner that we are.. to live according to Romans 8:1

WHILE he accepts you :just as you are: he wont except you that way at the end, HE expects growth... thats why he says

MY PEOPLE PARRISH FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE
BECAUSE YOU HAVE REJECTED KNOWLEDGE
I WILL REJECT YOU.....

YOU CANNOT have the knowledge without the indwelling of the HOLY SPIRIT.... ONLY believers can reject this knowledge as unbelievers cannot posses it and cannot reject that which was never offered...

So let's rest in that faith.

I don't deny Christ, and don't deny the Scripture. You seemed to have left out one of the most pivotal verses out of my response, Romans 8:1

For there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

And for the record, the father met the prodigal son halfway.

Do you judge and condemn anyone who agrees with my responses? I only encouraged those who need to know the liberty Christ has set us free for. Go figure who's abiding in who. (You will know them by their fruits.)

I feel helpless to explain any further. Which god saves and maintains you? Yourself, or our creator? What can you do, oh worm, to help God, to direct Him so He can direct you? Don't you know He loves you? His death and shed blood to save you should prove it. Don't think He expects you to work for this kind of saving love! You were dead in sin when He did it anyway. Just recieve it.

Good luck and farewell..

there are two kinds of saved people. people who LOOK saved but will continue in their sins(or return to them later) and people who LOOK saved and will repent and obey the voice of God.

both of these people go to church, believe in Jesus, and argue over the meaning of scripture with other christians.

THE BIG DIF IS THAT ONE WILL PARISH BECUASE THEY DID NOT REPENT OR THEY RETURNED TO THEIR SINS AFTER REPENTING and the OTHER IS SAVED!

are those who will parish becuase they returned to their sins considered saved at some point? maybe, in which case osas is false. however, if they were never actually saved then the other people are osas.

God Is My Refuge: Good luck??? An odd phrase for you to use. Saved Christians don't need "luck". They have salvation through Jesus Christ. And your point was what?...that those who don't believe in OSAS aren't saved? Please correct me if I am misunderstanding you in this.

OK, you are misunderstanding me.
Good luck was meant just as other people use it.. my gosh, do we have to spiritualize every little letter of the law??? Is that really what the Holy Spirit desires of us? And of course I believe you're saved! Why is my opinion now so important here? What has changed?? I tell you how I know the Gospel, you don't understand, you don't recieve this particular viewpoint, but now you're more interested in my opinion of your salvation status! What do you want from me??

All I can do is tell it like I see it, how I believe the Gospel was meant to be believed, according to my own experience.

And farewell means

fare = do
well = well

do well!

My heart's desire in all this - I'll settle down now:
I wish you God's blessings. But we will never agree on this issue. We're both safe in God's arms. I just don't want you to feel like it's up to you to keep yourself in His arms. He does a pretty good job at that himself. We are too fickle and unpredictable and .. sinful to do that part well.

:) Good luck, and farewell.

Thank you for clarifying that.
Your opinion is and always has been important to me though I can not speak for others here. Being good Christian people, however, I can't imagine them not caring about your opinion.
No, we (you and I and some others) do not agree on this issue. Big deal. It doesn't change who we are as God's people in Jesus Christ. That is what I believe the Holy Spirit desires of us; communion with and in Him. As far as spiritualizing every letter of the law, I suppose that all depends on where one is in their faith walk.

We are saved by grace through faith. Faith is active in the present time. If we aren't living by faith, we aren't "saved"
For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith."

The Bible says as a man thinks in his heart so is he. I believe I have been bought with a precious price. I am redeemed. I belong to Jesus. I am God's property. We have it twisted . When you go to the store and buy a product, we become the owner of that product. Now Jesus paid everything there is to pay for my soul. He is my owner. I have His Name. Study slavery for better understanding. If you are not saved, ask God to save you. He will. And He will become your owner(Lord).

I always think of Revelations 3:21 when it comes to Osas.

King James Bible
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

In most all translations it is overcomes so I think of overcoming sin which means not doing it, especially when I am tempted to. I sometimes overcome sin and sometimes I don't. That is why Scripture says to repent daily to make a daily accounting of all ones sins and to ask forgiveness for the sins. That way one is never caught off guard in case of death or should Christ return. In a way that is Osas.

However, should one be in the very act of a sin that they know they should Not be doing and should suddenly die or Christ should return at that moment, then I think that would pose a problem for Osas, to be caught in the act of not overcoming.

quote]

I am going to take this on in steps. three issues I see so far in just this part of your understanding of scriptures or if you waqnt to call it twisting scriptures, "A workman rightly dividing", does not mean that we can get to a point that we can walk without holding onto the hand of God, as you claim. For this very much contradicts "without Christ I can do nothing". second there are two types of fire in scriptures the Israelites were guided by fire at night, not a comsuming fire or a destructive fire but a guiding/helping fire. Jesus said in not many days I will baptize with Spirit and Fire. 1 corth. also speaks of a judging fire where as your works are tried by fire, our good works are brought forth as a reward and our bad works are burnt up, as a loss, "BUT THE MAN HIMSELF IS SAVED" so fire does not always mean hell. also scriptures compare a tribulation as fire, the olive branch as you intreprete can not be talking about salvation but as fruits as it says. for the natural olive branch was cut off but not for it's destruction but so that the wild olive branch can be grafted in but then it said that the nature branch can be grafted back in so it fall away from producing fruit but it can be restored, not be saved again but restored to what a olive branch is supposed to do produce fruit, hebrews clearly teaches that if God would premit one to fall away from salvation that it is impossible to restore. so the nature branch being able to be restored cannot be referring to salvation, no way no how.
then thirdly as I say I would like to say that you just merely misunderstand scriptures rather than you say intentionly twist scripture. but could you please explain, that how when many will say Lord Lord have we not done etc, that when Jesus said I NEVER KNEW YOU , that they had been saved and had falling away from grace, for it this is true then would He had not said I knew you once but now I don't know you anymore!!! when Jesus said I NEVER KNEW YOU, THAT MEANT HE NEVER EVER KNEW THEM, it's church time I will try to read the rest of your post later. may God Bless. but please keep in mind to say that I never knew you, meant that He knew them and they had falling away, is not rightly dividing scriptures.

Mt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mt 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mt 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

How could they have prophesied in His name if they were never part of Him ? Or cast out devils ? Or done many wonderful works ? Surely, they must have known God. Otherwise where could they have got their power from ?

very good question! one that I struggled with for years myself until just recently when God answered that one for me, your answer is confirmed in three places in scriptures Joel 2 is the prophecy that peter quoted in Acts 2, :

Acts 2:15
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
KJV

Note Here God will pour out His Spirit on all flesh, not just those that are His But all flesh. if this one doesn't convince you then try this one:

2 Corinthians 11:14-15
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
KJV

and any Bible scholar or even a student of the Bible knows that the anti-christ has powers that will allow people to think that He is God in the great tribulations if He has these powers could he not transfer them to his followers also????? if we have to say that the Bible doesn't mean what it says to get the Bible to line up with our doctrine then it usually is a false doctrine, "I never knew you, meant He Never Knew Them" hope this has helped

However, should one be in the very act of a sin that they know they should Not be doing and should suddenly die or Christ should return at that moment, then I think that would pose a problem for Osas, to be caught in the act of not overcoming.

yes very true if your definition of overcoming is true , but sorry to say it is not!! we don't overcome by resisting sin, bibical and Bibical is the answer we should be seeking instead of what your Grandfather or father or pastors has passed down, so Bibical to overcome is to believe in Christ!!

1 John 5:3-5
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
KJV
the reason I post this for if we don't define overcome bibically then it leaves it open for the false doctrine of faith + works = salvation instead of grace through faith = salvation

so Rev 3:21 could aslo read without changing the meaning:
to him whom believeth( overcometh) that Jesus is the Son of God, will I grant to sit with me in my throne. and this would also confirm John 3:17- 18
if we believe we are not condenmed , but if we believe not then we are already condemned,

OSAS is a fable !
if it is grace through faith as the Bible clearly says then, you don't believed that God has saved you, but rather believe that God can save you after you have earned your way in. to say that you can get saved at church on sunday and lose it monday when you slip and commit a sin, and get saved again wednesday night at church is a very grave and damnable heresy. for it is also clear from scriptures:

Hebrews 6:4-6
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
KJV
note this is not saying that we can fall away but IF God would permit for us to fall away but Jude says That He is able to keep us from falling;

Hebrews 6:3
3 And this will we do, if God permit.
KJV
