Just thought I'd drop in and say hello since half of this thread is dedicated to Catholics (more than half, really. LinuxUser is with OBOB, not WWMC). Not surprised by the legalization of same-sex marriage in New York.

Not in a secular country it doesn't. And God said nothing about same-sex marriage, just like he never said anything about the internet or cars.

Stop trying to turn the US into a theocracy. God would not approve of how you guys treat same-sex couples.

It's a good day for marriage equality and a sure sign the tide has definitely turned in this country. I look forward to the day when future generations will be surprised that there was ever this much discrimination against homosexuals.

Good for them. I'm breaking my "don't post on gay threads...waste of time" rule here.

Haven't really posted here since the general forums became an even more anti-gay haven, but it's great to see this thread. Great for new york, great to see equality spreading in the US and pretty hilarious to see all the crying in the linked thread hate to say it but "lolowned" . Things will hopefully only get better for gay rights.

Actually, I enjoy it quite a bit. Sometimes people act uncharitably— that does include me, a sinner as well—but you see that anywhere. And make no mistake, I do follow the teachings of the Catholic Church. Your sympathies are well-received in their intent (I think), but I'll have to respectfully decline.
