Mark 11:24 states "Therefore I say to you, "all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you."

In our churches we are taught to have prayer lists and pray for them daily. This is a practice I faithfully participate in. I have always also prayed for my family daily.

My struggle is in light of the above scripture, if I am praying daily for the same thing, am I doubting that He has heard and will answer my prayer?

Depending - No, you are not doubting, nor are you questioning that He has heard. You are doing what He has asked you to do. If you pray, with belief, with thanksgiving, and you pray His will, you will receive - if it's the Lord will. And you keep praying because the Lord will answer in HIS TIME. So He will answer in His time, if it is His Will, and He will answer in His own way. It may not be the answer we were looking for, it may even be better!

1 Thess. 5:16-18 - Be joyful always, pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

In the short book of Habakkuk, we see that Habakkuk thought God wasn't listening. He questioned and complained to God. But he soon found out God was not ignoring him, He was working in His own way. And in the end, Habakkuk learned to trust God, regardless of the timeline.

We are to pray in our spirit tell we know that God has heard our request. He will give us a peace about what we are concerned with so that we know He will work it all out for the best.

Of course when your praying for unsaved loved ones, you know that God well not cross their free will. The pastor in my church has written a book on some of the things that hinder God, and how we can remove those hinderances so that God can move on our behave to give us what we ask for.

For me, I like to seek to know the will of God. Then I know how to pray according to His will. We ask for what we already know that He delights in giving us. For example, He wants to fill us with love, joy, peace and all the other fruits of the Holy Spirit. I pray that God help me to be righteous before Him, I pray that He does a work in my life so I am well pleasing to Him. I pray that He search me out to show me if there is anything in my life that I love more than Him, so that He can always be my first love. Thanks, JohnR7
