Our Vespers this evening was awesome! The amount of theological teaching that comes through this particular service is just amazing~!

One thing I love about Vespers and Matins is that teaching. Listening to the hymns and the canon teach a lot. I spent a couple years in a monastery and absolutely loved learning through that every day. I go to an OCA parish now, and I miss Matins. That's why I love when there's a vigil. I think if I had known there was a ROCOR parish when I first moved here, I probably would go there since they have the vigil every week.

I'm a nerd :D So's my boyfriend. He's a comic book geek which is working out very well for him right now (you'd be amazed how much money he's made off the superhero stuff in three months!) and it's fun.

I didn't get to church for Pentecost :( I was awake before the alarm in my bed in pain running down the bones of my arms, my spine and my upper legs, and couldn't get into a position where it didn't hurt. Andrew came to get me up and ended up just getting me painkillers instead and promising to light me a candle. I've had more painkillers since (and not just aspirin, either) but I'm still having pain spasms, although I'm up (and sitting in a chair) now :(
:liturgy::hug::hug::hug::crosseo:Prayers Kyriaki I am so sorry :sorry::sorry::sorry:
Poor Kyriaki :( Hope you feel better soon .

I'm back from Lourdes - got in last night and am getting ready to head off, in just under an hour , for Pentecost DL.

I'm exhausted . This trip has been emotionally very very heavy , possibly because most of the folk on it knew my husband and thought him a very good man [ yes i know he was too :) ]

We had two very sick folk with us - a girl of 19 on crutches who smashed her ankle sledging 2 years ago and has multiple allergies as well , and a lady of about 40 in a very specialised wheel chair .

Coming back we left at 2pm on Friday and arrived home at 5pm on Saturday - by Jumbulance the whole way . It was comfortable but as I was 'on call' from 1-4am and therefore awake the whole of that period. I got virtually no sleep as we were woken again at 5 am for Customs etc for entering the UK .

Will I do it again - probably :)

Hang in there Anhelyna :) Hope you have a blessed Pentecost. :groupray::hug::liturgy:

I'm a nerd too.. the classic too... outcast, always made fun of in school, band geek, straight A honor's student, super thick glasses type of nerd.

Hope you're feeling better soon Kyriaki.

Got me some nice running shoes today. I'm determined to burn this baby fat by this time next year.

No more banana pudding & ice cream for me... or, at least much smaller portions. =) 20 lbs to lose...

I'm still about 10 lbs short of what I wanted to get to but I've already been told I'm not allowed to lose more weight. So I guess I just have to lose a bit of the blubber and then be happy with that... :sorry:

Honestly, it's the blubber I'm more concerned about than the weight. Operation "Shrink Muffin Top" is in full force. This is the most stubborn baby weight out of all my kids. Allie is 2 next month and I still have 20 lbs before I'm back to where I was before she was born.

After Noah, it took 3 months to get back to pre-preg weight. After Kaylee, it took a year.

Well, we have kneelers on our pews, so we cheated ;) I'd prefer carpet, but hard stone would be brutal! ^_^
LOL I'm sure I'll survive. Today was also the 40 day memorial for my father (Memory Eternal!) it was an honor to read the Epistle today and serve on the altar in front of my whole family. Lord, Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me a sinner! :crosseo:

I've lost 50 lbs since I started doing TKD. Haven't been this small for a long long time.

What is TKD?

I have been drinking a lot of apple juice with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar per 8 ounces. It seems to be working along with B complex.
I have lost 10 pounds, but need to lose about 10 more. Impossible I think. Hey, I admit that I am slightly overweight, but I am not obese.
Yet the doctor hounds me.
