The Book of Nahum.. Verse by Verse

Nahum 1:10
10 For while tangled like thorns, And while drunken like drunkards, They shall be devoured like stubble fully dried.

Nahum 1:11
11 From you comes forth one Who plots evil against the LORD, A wicked counselor.

Nahum 1:12
12 Thus says the LORD: " Though they are safe, and likewise many, Yet in this manner they will be cut down When he passes through. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more;

Nahum 1:13
13 For now I will break off his yoke from you, And burst your bonds apart."

Nahum 1:14
14 The LORD has given a command concerning you: " Your name shall be perpetuated no longer. Out of the house of your gods I will cut off the carved image and the molded image. I will dig your grave, For you are vile."

Nahum 1:15
15 Behold, on the mountains The feet of him who brings good tidings, Who proclaims peace! O Judah, keep your appointed feasts, Perform your vows. For the wicked one shall no more pass through you; He is utterly cut off.

Nahum 2:1
1 An attacker advances against y ou, Nineveh. Guard the fortress, watch the road, brace yourselves, marshal all your strength!

Nahum 2:2
2 For the LORD will restore the excellence of Jacob Like the excellence of Israel, For the emptiers have emptied them out And ruined their vine branches.

Nahum 2:3
3 The shields of his mighty men are made red, The valiant men are in scarlet. The chariots come with flaming torches In the day of his preparation, And the spears are brandished.

Nahum 2:5

5 He remembers his nobles; They stumble in their walk; They make haste to her walls, And the defense is prepared.

Nahum 2:6 (KJV) The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.

Nah 2:7 It is fixed: She is stripped, she is carried away, And her handmaids are moaning like the sound of doves, Beating on their breasts.

Nah 2:8 Though Nineveh was like a pool of water throughout her days, Now they are fleeing; "Stop, stop," But no one turns back.

Nah 2:9 Plunder the silver! Plunder the gold! For there is no limit to the treasure— Wealth from every kind of desirable object.

Nah 2:10 She is emptied! Yes, she is desolate and waste! Hearts are melting and knees knocking! Also anguish is in the whole body And all their faces are grown pale!

Nah 2:11 Where is the den of the lions And the feeding place of the young lions, Where the lion, lioness and lion's cub prowled, With nothing to disturb them?

Nahum 2:12
12 The lion killed enough for his cubs and strangled the prey for his mate, filling his liars with the kill and his dens with the prey.

Nahum 2:13
13 "I am against you," declares the LORD Almighty. "I will burn up your chariots in smoke, and the sword will devour your young lions. I will leave you no prey on the earth. The voices of your messengers will no longer be heard."

Nah 3:1 Woe to the bloody city, completely full of lies and pillage; Her prey never departs.
