Asking for prayers for the folks in Joplin, Missouri. The death toll is at 116 as of this evening, and so many people have lost everything. A father who works for my company had his 18 year son pulled out of their vehicle through the sunroof by the tornado and they can't find him. One of my employee's aunt was lost for several hours, they found her in shock wandering what was left of her neighborhood.

It's truly just devastating.

Pray for my friend Rob. He is sick with kidney stones and bladder cancer. Cuz he is too sick to work, he is losing money as well. He won't let me or anyone help him either due to pride and depression. He won't talk with me either. I feel such a heavy burden for him.

Brothers and Sisters,
My best friend's wife was killed in a traffic accident on Monday night in Mississippi. She was my wife, Jodi's best friend. She was only early 40s. We are there now to comfort family and friends and grieve with them. Please pray for the Buckley family as they deal with their loss. Beth was a very loving, vibrant woman who suffered with fibromyalgia(sp) and never let it interfere with her loving others and doing for them. She is now with Jesus and out of the constant pain of her condition.

That fact does lessen the loss, but right now, not much.
All three of their sons are grown and out of their house, so once the funeral tomorrow is over and everyone goes back to our own homes and lives, Paul will be totally alone. THAT is when he is going to need the most prayer support.
Be blessed,
Lee52

Wow, that was and is really hard. We went to be with the family and through the funeral. Still suffering the effects of grief. My heart is broken for my wife for the loss of her very best girlfriend and for my best friend in the loss of his very best friend and soul-mate of 30 years. I know that she is now with Jesus and that is a wonderful thing. AND, we all still miss her SO much. She was one of the most loving, kind, giving women that anyone could ever know. She lived her faith by doing for others and loving others. She is and will continue to be missed. She lived so long in extreme pain from the fibromyalgia(SP), and it was to the point where they were talking heavy narcotics for pain management. GOD is an all knowing GOD. Perhaps, she would not have any quality of life on those narcotics and GOD decided to heal her completely by taking her home to be with her Savior Jesus.

Just saw this and the previous post. My prayers are even now being offered for Beth and Paul and their children. And for you and Jodi as well. For Beth we give praise for God's love and mercy in her life and the new life that she has even now in our Lord and Savior. But we mourn for all those left behind, for the hole that is left in your respective lives, and for the emptiness that one will feel. I pray for the Spirit's presence to come and make himself known, especially in Paul's life that he might have a sense that he does not walk this path alone. That one is there with him who is capable of upholding him in this difficult time. And that the same arms that raise Beth up in a new spiritual body will wrap around him in his earthly body and sustain him with faith, comfort, hope, encouragement, love and peace.

One of my housemates told us today that her great-uncle is in hospital and has been refusing food and a drip. He's now comatose :(
Could you pray for him, that he'll come around and accept the help the hospital is providing and pray for her and her family, as they're naturally fairly upset by this :(

:prayer:

God of Glory,
make bright with your presence
the path of those who walk in the valley of darkness.
Deliver my friend and her family from anxiety and fear,
that they may live in peace and be at one with you;
through Christ our Lord. Amen
