Which is the joke - border security or Obama?

Zeke, WE are all educated. WE all have evidence and logic. WE have done our homework. YOU on the other hand have taken every pessimistic article you can find from whatever biased blog that happens to produce them and refuse to accept any opinion besides your own. We've all offered solutions and proof. You haven't offered anything but the same pessimistic rhetoric and stupid interpretation of the sign you've posted seven times. Oh no, they put a sign up to indicate that dangerous things happen! I guess by your logic we should remove traffic signs, safety manuals from planes, cautions from the sides of cigarette boxes - obviously if those things are there it means someone isn't doing their job.

Fortunately, 99% of the American public is actually logical. Besides, it looks to me like the sign is out in the middle of no where.

Again, how foolish of you!

One-third of a state has been ceded to lawlessness and you are comparing it to safety manuals from planes.

This is AMERICA, not a third-world lawless nation.

Yeah, you're not even actually reading my posts. You're skimming them, finding one thing you can insert in your post to simulate reading, and then calling me stupid.

Most of Americas problems can be blamed on these illegal leeches. We need to round up all the illegals and send them back from whence they came. If those particular countries are unwilling to take back their people, we will be forced to put them into detention camps.

Boy, this all sounds so familiar

I bet the Native Americans wish they had done that when the Europeans came over!

This thread has opened my eyes: I think I just discovered why we have this problem.

1) The conservatives point fingers at the liberals, blame everything on Obama, and blather Republican Party platitudes.

2) The liberals point fingers at the conservatives, blame everything on George Bush, and blather Democrat Party platitudes.

3) Meanwhile, the illegal aliens walk across the border, laughing their heads off at us, and the Deomocrats and Republicans can't see them or hear them because they're too damn busy squabbling with each other, making accusations at Obama and Bush, and pointing fingers so someone else gets the blame.

That's why we have this problem.

I think the solution is to start deporting Republicans and Democrats to Mexico.

As long as the border is protected and foreigners have to enter legally through the gate, that's all that matters.

That's one of the best posts I've read on here. We really need to let go of party politics and focus on the real issues.

That can be said of just about everything in the country today, and not just the border. Whatever happened to "America first"?

And we move straight back into "Us vs. Them" again. Thanks, Umaro.

It's not a matter of us vs them, it's just what happened. With the rise of globalization and instant communication it became ever more important for shareholder values to perform well. Companies are not to blame per se, they had no choice in the matter. It was either do everything to increase share costs, or be beat out by someone who was willing to. If that meant laying off workers, so be it, if that meant lobbying for or against policies, so be it. The public is just as much to blame though, since it's pretty clear everyday people make investments based on the best return...and not much else. We're all guilty of it, but that doesn't change that it's what happened.

"Supercapitalism" by Robert Reich explains it in great detail.

Folks, I don't want my spouse to get killed by an illegal alien in the line of duty. I don't want a nuke set off in Phoenix by muslim terrorists who got across the border. I don't want to keep seeing American citizens raped, kidnapped and killed along the border. I don't want to see grieving American families as their sons and daughters are killed by drunk-driving illegal aliens.

I don't want to see Mexican nationals dying in the back of semi-trucks as the coyotes smuggle them in, taking away their shoes so that it's harder for them to run away, yet easy to identify.

I don't want to see Mexican nationals dying in the desert.

I don't want to see running gun battles on our national public highways, neighborhood streets, and grocery store parking lots.

I don't want to see drug smugglers and dealers crossing that border.

I don't want to see our police officers and border agents murdered by illegals.

I don't want to see drop houses full of Mexicans busted where the people were being held captive AT GUNPOINT in the neighborhoods of Phoenix under poor conditions.

I don't want to see a truckload of Mexicans turn over on the Highway because they are overloaded with illegals.

I don't want to see Mexican hit squads coming up to Phoenix and riddling a neighborhood home with bullets.

None of this is about politics. This is about security.

Seal the border and make EVERYONE come through the gate.
