As a woman I want that special private time with my husband to be mutually expressive and a certian amount of freedom to prevail. I believe it's an important component for a healthy marriage relationship. As for being a lady everywhere else; I see that as a woman having a degree of freedom with her husband in the privacy of their own room that she just doesn't share or suggest with anyone else. I think it would apply to men/being a gentleman in company of others but freedom of the sexual aspect with just his wife as well. It's a valuable thing to have a safe environment for sexual expressiveness within marriage.

Again, it was a quote. It's like asking why one bird has to live in the "hand" and the two birds have to live in the "bush".

Not really. I understand that it was a quote. I'm saying that the term you used to replace it doesn't convey the same meaning. "Sexually expressive" isn't a good synonym of "harlot."

I'm not sure that in this context there is not much difference. A "sexually active woman" (to differentiate between this and my other definition....again, getting into trouble is the last thing I'd want here) is experienced and trained in sexual affairs. If to work is to live, they live for sex. But I wanted to keep the word there because it also it is because of the vulgarity. It has its own meaning ("sexually expressive" sounds almost like an acceptable, almost good thing).

Sexually expressive is a good and acceptable thing.

And I understand why you'd want to keep the original word there... and I would be very interested in seeing responses from the guys as to that question.

All I'm saying is that your OP is confusing because asking whether a guy wants a w***e in the bedroom is a lot different than asking a guy if he wants a sexually expressive woman in the bedroom. And the answers are going to be different based on that.

So if you want to start a discussion about that quote, but don't want to use that word... then IMHO substitute a synonym like prostitute or hooker.

Okay. According the the latest edit of the OP, you are asking if men want prostitutes in their bedroom. Really? They want a woman in bed who makes money through sex, may have sexually transmitted diseases, and most likely has serious psychological issues that led to that lifestyle in the first place?

I would think that you mean "sl*t," but you previously mentioned trained for sex...not that I'm aware of most prostitutes getting formal training. I still like Ludacris's quote better.

I want to keep the original word or use your word, but it's hard to enunciate.

And reading about sexual exploitation in the various religious things I have read, usually the woman has sex with the pimp before she is prostituted out. That's a formal training, imo.

Some things I just don't understand... I think we all get the gist of what he's asking... what's more important, arguing about the semantics or diving into the actual topic?

Well, I needed to know exactly what's being asked. There's a big difference between someone who is sexually uninhibited and someone who is sexually promiscuous (with training; so like serious sexual experience).

(I understood the quote-previous to this thread-as someone who is sexually uninhibited, but it looked like another interpretation was being used.)

A lady on the streets and a freak in the sheets, that's just the way it goes with me; I, cough, kinda already know what I do and don't like, cough.

I heard a saying regarding this: ladies cannot go backwards in lifestyle (ie. When you date a guy that has his own house, you want to only date guys that have their own house after that), and guys cannot go backwards intimately (ie. you know what you like and that's how you want it from your bedroom experience).

ETA: that's not to say that you need to be as experienced as myself, just willing to experiment in what you and I will both like (mainly what I like though lol, though if I may be so brash... I prefer to ensure my lady's fully satisfied before I'm done).

Train wreck in progress. News at 11:00.

Personally; I would like a lady on my arm and a sexually expressive woman (same woman, please-- I like living and want to keep doing it) in bed. The more derogatory terms being thrown around here have no place in a Christian relationship. That's my thought, anywhoo.

I recently (okay, not recently) heard the expression that men want "a lady on their arm and a prostitute in the bedroom".

Is that what you personally want?

Or maybe maybe when you get married you'd want someone who is more...sexually expressive in less appropriate arenas? Or would maybe sleeping in separate beds be more your goal? We're all adults here, so don't be shy.

I'll explain my reasoning behind making this thread when/if this thread takes off.
No. I want a woman that is free in her sexuality to express her love for me sexually and even express her desire that she wants to be pleased and to come to me for pleasure because I am her man and she is my woman.

That doesn't make her a prostitute or anything bad or immoral in my eyes. It makes her a wonderful woman in my eyes. Not that complicated.

Look any woman can be good in the bedroom if her and her husband work at it a bit.. :) there is no excuse there.. GOD made it all for marriage.. and why not have fun and enjoy it.. I think go for it.. be all for each other that you can be.. as long as both are comfortable and not forced.. life within GODS arena.. LOL.. is meant to be beautiful... expressive and yet pure.. I think couples should be exciting and keep it fresh.. and enjoy life wherever they be..

Diving into the original topic, of course. But defining the terms is the diving board. :p

Oh please, no dabbling over the words and answer the sentiment of the question!

Historically this quote varies "A man wants a saint/lady/virgin in the parlor and a harlot in the bedroom".

Yes, I think this is true for most men. They want a woman of saintly innocence and decorum, one who tends to the home and parlor. Yet in that same woman they want the uninhibited sexual vigor in the bedroom with the man she loves.

Some women are simply not up to task for all this and should refrain from marrying since it would frustrate the poor guy lacking one way or the other.
