Yeah a lot of Christians do not read anything that is from the Apocrypha. But since I see a lot of the very early Christians quote them and read them, I decided that I will do the same. But there is a lot of disunity concerning Christian beliefs on the Apocrypha. But there is a lot of disunity with many Christian beliefs as GT shows. Ah! This world is confusing to me.

Jesus Christ, came as the Son of God that we might be born of God and have the divine life (John 10:10; 20:31). It is in His Son that God gives us eternal life (vv. 11-13). Jesus, the man of Nazareth, was attested to be the Son of God by the water He went through in His baptism (Matt. 3:16-17; John 1:31), by the blood He shed on the cross (John 19:31-35; Matt. 27:50-54), and also by the Spirit He gave not by measure (John 1:32-34; 3:34).

By these three God has testified that Jesus is His Son given to us (vv. 7-10), that in Him we may receive His eternal life by believing into His name (vv. 11-13; John 3:16, 36; 20:31). The water of baptism terminates people of the old creation by burying them; the blood shed on the cross redeems those whom God has chosen from among the old creation; and the Spirit, who is the truth, the reality in life (Rom. 8:2), germinates those whom God has redeemed out of the old creation, by regenerating them with the divine life. Thus they are born of God and become His children (John 3:5, 15; 1:12-13) and live a life that practices the truth (1:6), the will of God (2:17), the righteousness of God (2:29), and the love of God (3:10-11) for His expression.

Mark 9:12 is another water and blood verse
And through it I disagree with you

why do you think it is not part of the Bible?
the EO and RCC have it as part of the Bible
This is something I may get people annoyed at me about
But I am not looking for God
I do not need to read anymore
I just need to live my life how I should,
So extra books are uninteresting to me

Christ heals all who come to Him

1 John 5:6
This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.

Did you know you can't have purple without blue and red?
If red means his crucifixion then blue means his baptism.
As a result the Holy Spirit is given, which is purple.

Exodus 26:1
Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine woven linen and blue, purple, and scarlet thread; with artistic designs of cherubim you shall weave them.

Even the Tabernacle was made to represent Christ. From the Ephod to the typical things like the gate, all woven of blue, purple and scarlet.

My reason for this post is for me to show you what I think of such verses. But I want to know what you think of 1 John 5:6.

Unfortunately, it doesn't make the best sense. It is true that blue is associated with water and red is associated with blood. However, the Holy Spirit has been associated with the colors of red and green, not purple. Red due to Pentecost and green because it is also the color of life and with the Holy Spirit (thanks to Holy Baptism and Holy Chrismation) we have New Life.

There's warm water put in with the wine in the communion chalice- along with leavened bread (not unleavened b/c Christ is our leavening).

I've always been neutral when it came to the Host being leavened or unleavened. There's good theological significance associated with both, although I always appreciate the Eastern symbolism. :)

He is our leavening in what sense?
Because a Christian is completely unleavened Because of him taking the leaven

The leaven here is referring to New Life, which we have in Christ. And since the Host is Christ, then the Host can be leavened to illustrate this important fact.

I googled it, its apocrypha, so...

Apocrypha is treated wrongly by Evangelical Protestants. The word merely means "obscure" or "hidden." The idea that these books are "obscure" due to heresy or whatever is loaded. Ezekiel could be considered apocryphal to Jews and was for a time because Ezekiel was both Prophet and priest, which was a combination that historically was very hard to reconcile, and thus, it was withheld until readers were wise enough to read it.

The Book of Tobit was given ecumenical recognition until the Protestant Reformation. It is a full and equal part of the Canon.

why do you think it is not part of the Bible?
the EO and RCC have it as part of the Bible

And we Anglicans.

I don't understand the reasoning behind red and green

But purple is like king status
And when we're anointed we basically become kings in the next life
Christ is the "King of Kings"

If the Holy Spirit isn't the king then.. :D

'And they clothed Him with purple; and they twisted a crown of thorns, put it on His head,'

I don't know what a Chrismation is though
But I reject that anything other than his atonement can save

I told you what they are.

Red due to Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit anointed the heads of the Apostles and came as tongues of flames.

Green due to life.

Christ is King of Kings, yes, but the Holy Spirit isn't associated with purple.

Then you don't know what Holy Baptism is either.

Holy Chrismation is when the priest or bishop applies chrism on the forehead of the person just baptized. It is the person's personal Pentecost.

I will have to respectfully disagree with your conclusions

But that is interesting on the charm thing

Do you believe in original sin?

And it is chrism and chrismation.

Furthermore, if something it worth interest, you should at least spell it out.

Chrismation is the seal of the gift of the Holy Spirit that follows directly after the sacrament of baptism in the EOC. :)

And in Anglicanism too :)
