Michael Connelly's "The Lincoln Lawyer". I haven't seen the movie and probably won't, but I recently read his latest book in this Mickey Haller series, "The Fifth Witness", and loved it, so decided to go back to the beginning of the series and start over. Usually lawyer books are disappointing, but I am loving this guy, and I am constantly intrigued to find out what happens next!

"Definitely Dead" by Charlaine Harris. Book #6 of the Southern Vampire Mysteries/True Blood series.

As it's been a couple of years since I last read the books and to have something to do while waiting for True Blood season 4, I'm re-reading the whole series!

I haven't started this yet, but it is next on my list: Jane Kirkpatrick's "A Daughter's Walk". It is set in 1896 and is the story of a young woman who walks from west coast to the east coast in order to win a prize that will help save her family's homestead. She later goes on to become a successful businesswoman. Through her story we can see how the roles of women were changing at the turn of the last century.
