Michael Connelly's "The Lincoln Lawyer". I haven't seen the movie and probably won't, but I recently read his latest book in this Mickey Haller series, "The Fifth Witness", and loved it, so decided to go back to the beginning of the series and start over. :) Usually lawyer books are disappointing, but I am loving this guy, and I am constantly intrigued to find out what happens next! :)

I haven't started this yet, but it is next on my list: Jane Kirkpatrick's "A Daughter's Walk". It is set in 1896 and is the story of a young woman who walks from west coast to the east coast in order to win a prize that will help save her family's homestead. She later goes on to become a successful businesswoman. Through her story we can see how the roles of women were changing at the turn of the last century.
