Christianity taking over planet?

I was on K-Love and checking the news on there and I saw the lnik to this page, I thought it was pretty cool. It talks about how Christianity is really really surging in Africa and Asia, thousands of converts a day. People meeting in secret, in peoples homes, in caves...believers in hiding, but spreading like wildfire.

I don't know how true it all is, but I trust K-Love and there is a book about it mentioned in the article. I hope and pray it is true though. To know that people are truly seeing and realizing God working in today's world.

That is definitely cool, no doubt about that... Sadly, Islam is also finding its place in the world, and has always been the fastest growing faith. Hopefully Christianity can one day over take Islam in that realm.

Yeah for sure, they always say that Islam is the fastest growing faith, but to hear that Christianity is growing in exponential numbers definitely is great to hear.
The Islamification of Europe and how unreligious it is, is often over-exaggerated. Might have high birth rates, but still a tiny minority.

Huh, I always thought Islam was the fastest growing. Though conversly, I've heard for about every 2 Christian converts gained in Africa and Asia about 1 person deconverts in Europe and the USA.

It think Europes atheist population is on the rise as is Americas. Americas was at like 12% or so last I checked but I'd put the real number much higher maybe 30% due to a large number of closet atheists or people who still attend churches but don't beleive it.

Good 'ol Sweden is like 85% atheist/agnostic.

I can't decide if this is sarcastic or not.

Nah, it's true. Atleast for Africa. Just about all of Sub-Sahran Africa is Christian so there really isn't anyone to convert. It grows by birth. Asia on the other hand is legitamant "conversion" but the percentages fo the population following Christianity are still extremely low. Usually less than 4%.

Yeah unfortunately atheist/agnostic population is pretty large and rising in Europe. However it should be noted that the population Western Europe only accounts of a small portion of the total worlds population, an its ageing and declining population. Evangelicalism is rising, and one statistic I remember noted how church-goers tended to have more children than secular non-believers in Europe, which could cause this decline in religion to stop. Sady for atheists, religion probably won't die anytime soon. :D

To be atheist does not mean you want religion to die. It means you don't believe in god. Chill your nips, let's not get hasty here.
