According to most sources that I've seen, the Bible has 66 Books, 1,189 chapters, 31,102 verses, 773,693 words, and 3,566,480 letters. The middle verse is Psalm 118:8, and "the LORD" are the two middle words in that verse.

Interesting facts about the bible:

The word bible comes from the Greek word biblia meaning “books”. The Bible is a collection of books rather than a single literary composition. They are considered “canonical” because they are on the list or canon of books which the Church officially regards as inspired. The canon was definitively and solemnly determined by the Council of Trent in 1546.

They are the seventy-two books found in Catholic editions, forty-five in the Old Testament and twenty-seven in the New. Protestant copies usually lack the seven books (viz: Tobias, Judith, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, and I, II Machabees) and parts of books (viz: Esther 10:4-16:24, and Daniel 3:24-90; 13:1-14:42) which are not found in the Jewish editions of the Old Testament.

Julie :pink:

This does not hold up if you actually work it out.

"According to our reckoning, 1189 chapters comprise the King James Version of the Bible. This means the "center chapter" of the Bible would be the 595th chapter (i.e., it is both preceded and followed by 594 other chapters); there are 478 chapters in all the books up through the end of the book of Job (which immediately precedes the book of Psalms), so the center chapter would be Psalm 117, not Psalm 118 as claimed, and the "center verse" of the Bible would therefore fall within Psalm 117 as well. Moreover, even if Psalm 118 were the "center chapter" of the Bible, since it is composed of 29 verses, the "center verse" would be Psalm 118:15 ("The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly"), not Psalm 118:8 as claimed."

This being the case 31,102 then verse 15551 is the middle verse which is

verse book (psalms) chapter (103) verse 1

15551,19,103,1,"Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name."
