skepticism is not evil...
we all work out our faith with fear and trembling...
confirm all words given against the book 1 John 4.1
look at context and spin on message.
in the last days, many will be deceived...

Have you ever been deceived?

How do you know it is the word of God and not of men without study and curiosity? Many texts around the world claim to be the word of God - the Koran was dictated by the arch-angel Gabriel (or that is the claim).

εν αρχη ην ο λογος και ο λογος ην προς τον θεον και θεος ην ο λογος

I assume you can read the Word of God in the original Greek - and are not merely receiving a translation from Men? If not, which translation of Men do you use (all translations change meaning)?

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

This is how.

I have the Spirit of Truth.

It might be better to say Jesus words or the doctrine of Christ which is the doctrine of God

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

2John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

To what degree do you obey the doctrine of Christ?

10%?

What do you mean when you say not to 'reason'?
"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD.

It doesn't say that at all though.
Jesus OFTEN asked men "what do you think"
It's what we shall eat or drink or our life that we
should "give no thought" to....
God does indeed want us to "think"
He said He gave us a sound mind.

:amen::amen:

Again:
Not to be disagreeable but God DOES desire that we
have understanding, all of us (proverbs 4 says so)
yet most do NOT have understanding... So if it worked
as you're suggesting... we'd all have understanding.
Evidently we need to "get" understanding, as it says
in proverbs (God's Word) GET wisdom GET understanding...

So please tell me when and why and how did you reason with God?

I have the Wisdom to know what he was talking about.

Do you?

2 Corinthians 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

Do you obey these commandments?

To what degree?

So you belive the Spirit of Elijah was his own spirit and power?

If John come in the Spirit and power of Elijah as the law and the prophets prophesied until John (being the Elijah who was to come) Elisha recieved a double portion of the same Spirit did he not? And if so when Jesus asked who do men say that I am Mat 16:14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias (Elijah); and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

Or more clearly here

Luke 9:19 John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.

However these answers were what men in their wisdom said

Luke 9:20 He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

And in

Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Unless ofcourse The Father (as said by Jesus, who is the wisdom of God) is promoting the wrong answers given by men (in the above) and you are wiser then Christ?

This is the foundation of cult thinking. Plus, it's quite clear that the Bible cannot be understood simply by reading it. Interpretation is always required.

Who's interpretation is the ne we all should follow?

Have you ever been deceived?

I believe you do not have the Wsdiom to understand what I believe.

So were do we go from there?

You tell me.
