Transhumanism in the last days

I am very excited that I can finally post a thread and links.

Have any of you heard of the transhumanist movement. It is real and not a hoax. A lot of people do not believe this is actually happening, even though ex-Vice-President Cheney is still living, but without a functioning heart. I wanted to link to these videos. The reason I am so very interested in this movement is this passage in The Revelation

Rev. 9: 5And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

6And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

Now what in this world would prevent death in a person? Maybe technology, or genetic tinkering? I kind of believe it the way these guys lay it out. And F.Y.I. search out trans human and the singularity on Google and Youtube. It is kind of insidious and creeping up on us. Anyway, I wanted you all to watch these videos.

I'm not sure what those verses mean right now, but transhumanism is definetly a possibility. However, I personally don't believe that that's what those verses allude to in the last days. I just don't think that the human enhancement technology will become widely available to consumers. If it's used, it would be used primarily by the elite.

The idea that science and technology are causing people to live longer shouldn't be a bad thing and it has nothing to do with Revelation 9.

Cheney's heart device does not mean that he's cheated death or some kind of robot.

My Dad has an implanted defibrillator. My MIL has a pacemaker. Some war vets have artificial limbs.

This is just technology at it's finest, not something diabolical.

When you see a creature that is half human/half something else, then we'll talk. Daniel suggests that there will be a mixing of seed in the last days. Revelation says the final kingdom will be a mixture of humans and fallen angelic beings. Jesus said the end will be just like in the days of Noah. In the days of Noah, fallen angels were producing hybrid offspring with women and enslaving/killing mankind. When they trot out an alleged "human/alien" hybrid and claim it is the supreme being of a master race of humanity, then be worried.

Yes, yes, exactly what I want to talk about. And, it is what the videos are all about. I really wish you would watch the whole show because even though some technologies that we use today are good and proper, there is something going on that a lot of Christians do not want to look at. I said it was insidious, like a slow moving thunderstorm. And they are just on the threshold of even more applications to this technology. Say, if they clone a heart in a pig by using pig and human DNA, they then implant said heart into a human being, is this a good thing? Former President GW Bush thought it was important enough to mention it in his last State of The Union address. Do you think it is a good thing to use cloned meat made from animal and human DNA? Just watch the show and listen to what these men are saying. And do google transhuman and the singulariity.

Well, Revelation says that during those last days, men will seek death, but will not find it. Even with advanced human enhancement technology, if someone wanted to die, they still could. I don't think that verse refers to transhumanism

Hi Husky7. Well according to the scripture, something will indeed prevent death. The way I see it, transhumanism could be the catalyst for this condition. If you said to someone in the middle ages that we would be experiencing some of the technologies we take for granted today, they would hardly be able to conceive the possibility. And visionaries that did conceive of these ideas were afraid they would be branded as witches. All I am asking is that you all please go to youtube and watch the videos. I have posted the first two but there are more.

Though in revelation the time determined is five months there

Yes, I just watched two videos you provided and that is exactly what people should be concerned about.

Government "overlords" have decided to monkey around with God's creation. It's not just mixing human and animal DNA for experimentation and genetically modified foods (both of which are abominations) but these government overlords think that they can control the weather of planet earth with "geoengineering". Beyond the physical, they are toying with the Spiritual as well - mixing Truth with lies.

It's here. What happened before the flood is happening again and it's been going on for quite awhile now - 50, maybe 70 years or more.

God will not allow it to stand because it's going to kill His creation. There's some things that are coming which will cause loss of life on a grand scale. God is going to step in.

Rev 11:18The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great and for destroying those who destroy the earth."

Yes this is what concerns me. I will post the whole talk for it is very eye-opening. The question is, how far are people willing to go into the dark side to gain an advantage? I love life, but am I willing to accept a heart if they grow one for me in an animal to extend my poor pitiful flesh here on earth? I think this is a question that may be facing humanity down the road. Yes. It is like the days of Noah for sure.

I understand that technologies that give artificial limbs, and augment functioning body parts have always been great. However, when people start to change out body parts like they change their clothing, something is not right about that. Hearts, kidneys, and other body organs are being grown in laboratories. Yet, when you mention something like this in Christian circles, people either shy away and don't want to discuss it, or they refuse to believe it is happening, or rejoice that there is a way to extend their lives. And this affects us spiritually too. At what point would a person stop being human and become a hybrid of human and animal.

Almost a sure sign that this man is worth listening to. I heard the hosts of a Christian radio show say that 3 of their past guests are no longer with us. There are people dying for speaking out and Im almost certain the Church better beware should the rapture not occur shortly.

Hi Grace Chick. I agree with you. I think of the many scientists who were killed because they were going to spill the beans. Tom Horn has been giving these talks on Transhumanism for a while. I kinda stumbled upon him when I participated on another board. Being in the medical field, it shook me when I first heard about this because I know it to be true. I knew that when heart surgeons replace heart valves, the use the valves from pig hearts because they most resemble human heart valves. So when I heard brother Horn's talk, I was immediately gripped. I hope you watch the videos.

I think you are right on the money

the transhumanism movement is directly linked to eugenics and evolutionary theory

Transhumanist's basically think humanity is at a point where it will take control and guide its own evolution

becoming a type of creator God

well, I watched the first video and felt sick too my stomach. Even the host looked a bit unconfortable. Notice how his head was down most of the time. Making eye contact with that (should I say man, maybe not), seemed umbearable. I thought horns were going to pop out of his head any minute. well, as a believer that christ is soon here, I'm not surprised these things are happening. Increase in knowledge, therefore, increase in technology. end times for sure. Karen

Are you suggesting that we shoot the messenger? I have noticed that this topic is uncomfortable for many Christians. But, a hard truth is still the truth. Frankensteins apprentices are up to no good in the world and Tom Horn, a brother in Christ, is telling the church about it. But, most Christians don't want to hear it. Sad for you.
