The Beast

How many of you guys are going to get hit/are getting hit with this beast of a storm?? It's going to hit 30+ states!

Alabama is getting hit with the usual, thunderstorms and tornados.

Please don't be one of those people that goes out and drives in this. It suppose to hit 1/3 of the U.S. tonight. Stay indoors and be safe!

Also let's keep us all in our prayers for safety and warm and dry bottoms.

Let the chaos begin. Huzzah.

I think most of it has passed the majority of the country? I think New England is the last to be hit today, and then it'll be over. We just got a little bit of snow and some freezing rain/ice here. No biggie compared to the 3 feet of snow we got last winter lol.

It's suppose to hit my area this evening probably right around the time I'm leaving work.

Its 19 F here and frozen solid. The wind chill is 0, so I have several reasons to hide in my warm apartment.

I live in missouri, there is about a foot of snow and a lot of snow coming down. They've been talking about a blizzard warning all morning. No work today or tomorrow

I'm praying for the safety of those affected by the weather.

As for me, the Blue Ridge mountains offer protection from the worst storms. Usually.
They call it a weather shadow. It's cloudy and 45F here right now.

Where I live we're in the middle of it. Schools had been cancelled and everything. So now I'm just stuck in the house. :argh:

But it's a nice time to have some hot chocolate.

Unfortunately residential universities rarely close, so I have to drive through the mess.

Having my 8:00 a.m. class canceled was nice, though the extra time was used to shovel a better path out of the drive way.

Already got hit this morning.

The morning drive sucked. I slid across the highway 3 times trying to change lanes and could not go faster than 35mph. Had a hard time getting over a small hill. A normal 15 minute drive took 40 minutes. I did get to work on time.

We are expecting about an 1in.-2in. of ice on top of what we got as well as snow and sleet.

I've had it with winter.

Getting blasted here. A couple of inches of snow, but it's been raining ice the entire day. It's 21 degrees, the wind is gusting to 35MPH and the windchill factor is 4 degrees. We're supposed to get 16 inches of snow tonight.

They're predicting 12-24 inches of snow. I'm predicting/hoping for much less.

Sorry Global warming is a scare tactic.

But we're getting hit with heavy winds, cooler temps then the past few days, they've dropped 25 degrees since this morning. Supposed to rain again tomorrow, and then cloudy on Thursday and lookie there...more snow for Friday....
