Yes, I do
and thank you for your kind words.
I am keen to get all Jews to see that which I hold as truth in regard to Yeshua, and to debate the matter(s) with academic integrity on both sides (and so I cope with fools who come on here, quite badly I'm afraid).
I have great objections to the idea of the
conversion of a Jew, because conversion means to turn from anything and everything of one religion and to totally replace it with another religion. Since it is impossible to convert from Judaism to Messianic Judaism or from Judaism to Messianic Judaism to Christianity, the whole concept becomes, in effect, nothing more that a rather elaborate con. This is NOT what the Messianic Movement is all about in my opinion and I can see no reason, theologically or scripturally, to warrant such an idea, whoever holds it; I stand firmly against all those who seek conversion in these ways.
For me, what we are meant to be about is learning, with integrity, the differences that exist between what I believe and what another believes, with the aim that, through honest debate, we can draw our beliefs together, finding places where we agree and some where we do not agree. Within the friendship and respect that pathway builds up, we can find that G_d will do amazing things in both hearts so that, together, we might dare to dig even deeper and find that simple commonality of our faith that so many lose sight of here in their haste to browbeat and convert.
'Convert', or its derivatives, should be banned words on these fora.
